I make this house into apartments in every save, it's so fun. I usually put a lift in the octagon tower and the apartment front doors.

you can have backdoors and stuff in apartments in sims 2. They just need a little patio area that has those garden pavers around it like you would with flower beds. The sims can still step over them, and the game sees it as fenced in and part of the apartment or condo/duplex

6:12 - to everyone who dont want to install the mod - with testing cheats on, you can click with shift on the doors to the apartment you like and select this option! sometimes it needs a second try to work

I forgot how ugly that roof is originally, I use a Mansard roof on it now. It makes great apartments or a university building when you play Uni in the Main Hood.

Building apartments does not require a cheat. You just have to set as residential (this allows you to make changes in all common areas), until you are finished building, and then change lot type. Save and play test, if it does not work properly, go back to old save, change lot type back to residential to apply needed fixes, and once done, change lot type, save, then play test again. Yes, in order to keep apartments furnished, you will need a mod for that. Also, apartments allow for sliding glass doors (so, those can be used for back door patios), along with fenced in yards. I made 4 rental row houses, complete with driveways, garages, and back yards (enfenced). I followed a tutorial (sorry, I forget where, but if someone could let me know, I would love to give proper credit to the content creator❣). I do love your apartment building❣Also, have you used or built any flop house apartments?

You just unlocked an old memory for me. I remembered I build The Pink Palace in The Sims 3. I even used to have it's plan drawn in one of my diaries. I think it was around 2010. Now I think both the saves with palace and my diary are lost to time...

My Sims 2 is only a disc version meaning I can't add anything 😢 Why is EA such a greedy company?

Add what? You can normally have mods and CC in the disc version, you just need to create the Downloads folder like everyone else

What kind of error do you get? Is it a Windows error or in-game? The Downloads folder is created in Documents on your PC drive, not on the game's CD. Back when Sims 2 was only on disc people could normally use mods and CC and they still can.
