I did that with a SIM I fulfilled all their wants. I also created a SIM and fulfilled their fears too. Just to see what happens. The first one lived a very long happy life and the other died lonely and died the day after they became elder.

One of my biggest pet peeves with the wants/fears is when something that appears in both panels. I have often had a sim want to get engaged to someone, but at the same time they fear getting engaged to that sim. Then I’ve had sims want a baby, but at the same time they fear having a baby - which is really difficult when said sim is already pregnant.

This was really fun to watch! I try to fulfill my sim's wants as much as I can. I also laughed when you talked about the Freetime hobby thing and that sims usually never wanna shut up about their hobbies. Sadly after I got a Macbook and downloaded the Sims 2 by Aspyr it didn't come with Freetime or Apartment life I actually really miss those annoying wants now haha. I like dates since they gain a lot of aspiration points from it haha.

You should try dualbooting with XP, Vista or 7 (Sims 2 is super picky with 10 and 8.1 for some reason) so you can play with all eps

I find it interesting if the devs did that on purpose or not? Some sims in TS2 are so out there, especially with 1-on-1 play, but then AJ is just ... boring 😂💀 it might just be the way Fortune Sims are coded cause even Mary-Sue can get pulled into that boring category, even though she rolls wants with other playable sims.

@@micahcook2408 yup, Fortune sims are super boring by themselves unless they roll a want to marry a rich sim. My Mary-Sue lived some time alone and I was surprised by the fact that there's nothing interesting left about her. I then picked Knowledge as her secondary aspiration and she rolled a want to become a witch, which spiced things up a bit.

Hmm, the way I would do this challenge is I would get 4 want locks with sim blender and lock every want so that when one is fulfilled only then I get a new one. Then I would lock it again and so on. At this point I know exactly what wants will be there when a sim wakes up in the morning. It's always the same "talk about hobby", "play with sim", "earn some money" and so on. That's why I always cheat with the locks in my game and lock pretty much EVERYTHING I want to fullfil. You could say I'm a slave to my sims' wants because when I see one that gives a lot of aspiration points I'm like *heavy breathing* I already locked 3 wants in one sim? Well, time to lock all 4 of them! (And then they end up with SO MANY aspiration ponts that I do nothing with because I hardly ever use the rewards xD)

the florist bench, or sometimes toymaker bench, is what the fortune aspiration wants because it makes money i guess, and it came with open for business so makes sense fortune aspiration is into that. i swear every aspiration wants the exact same thing each time if you follow their wishes and dont make them do something yourself, i often play like this so the patterns are well known to me and oh god the myshuno game... it had to be a bug how obsessed sims were with it, i avoided that thing like hell

I actually did this experiment with pleasure aspiration, created sim with identical personality (like Ajay), played a sim week and it was a lot, lot easier. I was also playing in Strangetown, in the same house. I wasn't locking wants. Dating, hanging out on Downtown and socializing gives your sim fun, tons of aspiration points and friends needed to get a promotion. Plus, it doesn't cost simoleons. After week, my sim ended up with 77 750 aspiration points, on 7th career level, with 4 friends, wife and puppy. But what was really interesting - HE WANTED to get engaged and marry one sim he was dating and these wants weren't vanishing. Probably the Fortune aspiration is more "strong" than Pleasure and overhelm the secondary.

This is an old video so you probably know this now but the reason your hobby wants mod isn't working is because you have it installed in Downloads rather than the game files under The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Wants. You need to replace the default WantsTrees package with the one the mod gives you. I know because I did the same thing for like 100+ hours of gameplay in my main hood (Sims 2 Sunset Valley) and after I moved the file location I completely stopped getting the Talk about Hobby and Blog About Hobby wants, and the amount of hobby wants I got in general was vastly reduced.

This is such a fun challenge to do. I've never been able or tried to complete all my Sims' wants because some of them are so outlandish. I also really enjoyed doing this in The Sims 3. It's a shame that the system is not as good in The Sims 4. Also, I was wondering if you knew about the glitches that are in The Sims 2 Ultimate Edition that EA released on Origin. It's mainly black boxes and choppy graphics. And the screen flickers. It's so annoying and I cannot seem to fix it. I've been playing the game since it came out, and I am so irritated that I am not able to play it anymore.
