Fantastic job! Please tell me what were the diameters of the two hoses you put instead of the brittle ones that go from the manifold to the vacuum container moving the flaps? The smaller one was 3.5mm inner diameter, what about the bigger one which went on it? Thank you

Did you replace the fuel injector filters ? Mine were toast ! absolutely disintegrated with a light touch . Only 2 holes were flowing from the nozzle also when I tested them with a cheap 12v injector tester while still connected to the fuel rail so I can get fuel pressure. I’m cleaning them in the ultrasonic cleaner now then I will rebuild & test again .I also thought about installing an in-line fuel filter & also not installing the new injector filters for more flow since the old ones were already not technically even doing the job . But I paid for the them so I will install them . They are type 3 Bosch injectors so make sure you guys buy the right size !

filters looked okay on these, have a video on them soon and will flow test/clean before re-install. Yes indeed Bosch type 3

Awesome Video! Have you heard of the M113's starving of fuel on Cylinder 8? I think i heard someone talk about that before. For that reason some people connect the 2 Ends of the Fuel Rail together with AN Fittings. Had to to that on my M112, got wayyy to less fuel on Cylinder 6 in my Case. After that fix everything was fine. (AN Fittings have to be welded to the Original fuel rail endcaps) So if you ever want to make even more Power you might want to look into that.

@@ANDERZENAMG No problem! I think I’ve seen someone do that on Forum a couple years back. I got mine welded and pressure tested by a company, didn’t cost much but it felt a lot safer. Would recommended that just to make sure it’s not leaking.

I am wondering what kind of symptoms or side effects you had experienced with the intake flaps being loose. No acceleration? Rough idle? Just curious if it was obvious

in my case no real symptoms, but some experience rattling noises, loss of power etc

Very helpful video. As an M113 owner, I am pretty much following in your foot steps here. Are O rings the same size for both ends of the injector? How has this rebuild held up?

Yep same size on both ends and pretty much all mb injectors use this same size. It’s great, definitely picked up a few ponies

take the flaps out of the intake, blind the vacuum acuator, you will get more power, its the same on audi almost every tuners do that.

@@ANDERZENAMG everything from inside out, the plastics and the flaps which are controlled from the acuator outside in front right behind the air pomp, when you step on the gas, the flaps open and more air goes into combustion., if you don't have flaps, more air gets in right at the start, I have a c55 too and it works, it also happens on the v8 audi rs, it's the same system. you won't damage anything and you'll increase your acceleration.

@@archiebalog everything I have been told/read about the m112/m113 is that they benefit low end torque and top end power… see this documentation: At engine speeds between 1750-3900rpm, the variable intake flaps are closed to utilize the longer runner for improved torque and drivability. At engine speeds above 3900rpm, the variable intake flap opens to utilize the short runner for top-end power. These manifolds use swirl flaps to improve air-fuel mixture at engine speeds below 3000rpm under certain operating conditions. Also I know for a fact the flaps are open when diaphragm is closed so it’s a bit opposite from what you’re saying… idk it may be viable but with mine all back together and installed not really worth doing unless actual proof of improvement across power band
