REX you should hang up a white board in the garage and keep note of all the expenses and costs involved as you build it then tally it all up once this car is finished ! Then perhaps you flip it for a profit and move on to the next one. 😊 Just a suggestion.

Check if any air is coming out of the master cylinder hole, that seems faulty. If air is pushed out upon pedaling, attempt bench bleeding the cylinder first. Or else attach a copper line to the hole in question, and put the other end in the MC reservoir. Pump the pedal until no bubbles come out of the copper line into the reservoir. Had the same case on my Civic; went through 2 MC’s before figuring out this method

Did you test thermostat before putting in? If the bottom rad hose is cold your thermo could not be working properly - stuck closed. And with the high idle there is an IACV (idle air control valve) on the back of the intake manifold. Replace the gasket for it and adjust the screw with a screw driver to drop idle down ;)

stumbled apon this video, its making me feel like actually getting my '32 back out of the shipping container its been in for a decade! - However PLEASE make sure that you have bleed cooling system using the bleed screws!! Straight from the RB26DETT /RB20E / DE / DET / CA18i / RB25DE engine manual, page EN-534:- 3. COOLING WATER FILLING PROCEDURES 1 Make sure the radiator hose and heater hose clamps are tightened securely. 2 Set the heater control lever to HOT position. (For vehicles equipped with automatic air conditioners, first place ignition switch to ON position and remove the external sensor connector). 3 Release the radiator cap and air drain plug. (RB20E: Intake manifold collector area. RB20DE/DET: Intake manifold collector area and in front of glove box). 4 Fill the radiator gradually (filling speed: slower than 2L/ min) to the top of the spout with coolant. Fill the radiator until the water in the reserve tank reaches the MAX level line indicated. 5 After closing the radiator cap and air drain plug (RB system), start the engine and allow it to idle. 6 The engine will continue to idle until the thermostat opens. (Touch the radiator flow hose and make sure hot water is flowing). If a large volume of air remains, the water temperature gauge needle will move past the middle as the engine temperature rises abnormally. If this occurs, stop the engine wait until it cools and add water to the radiator repeatedly as described above. After the thermostat opens, race the engine for 10 seconds at 2500rpm two or three times. Check that water temperature does not rise excessively. 7 stop the engine and allow it to cool. Release the radiator cap and check the fluid level. If the fluid level lowers, return to setp 4 and repeat the process.

Awesome build! I recently bought a master cylinder from the wreckers and thought it was defective, but as it was completely dry inside it took a lot of pumping but eventually got the cylinder to purge all the air, out of each of the 4 ports on the master.

Bottom radiator hose being cold is not odd , the bottom radiator hose is the inlet into engine from radiator the bottom hose will not heat up until the engines had the chance to open the thermostat and then circulate coolant or / the water through the system sometimes it takes some time for bottom hose to warm up

Just bought my own GTS-T barn find. It's a rolling shell factory as can be, looking at a complete rebuild and changing from good ol faded black to a TH1 Blue Pearl. Needing a few bits and pieces for the interior any hookups for the website your getting your parts from in Japan.
