Be harder on your scouts than you think you need to be. My scoutmaster was a nice guy, but he put up with no bullshit and that let us learn all sorts of useful things. Also, when it's possible, push to let the rest of the troop participate in the eagle scout trips, I know not all troops do that, but having the opportunity to earn a spot with the big kids and do more serious stuff is a nice carrot to dangle, and the kids will surprise you and rise to the challenge more often than not.

I put a 16yo in as a rower for the mile swim, I was more worried about the rower, than the swimmer. We have a generation that; Cant ride bikes, pump a swing, tie their shoes or row a boat! And Im sure many other basic life skills.

Heavy equipment is another choice as I worked for Caterpillar for some time. 13 years in the Air Force gives me a lasting interest in those flying machines. You know Shawn, you've got 4000 acres there with little shelters built all over your land. You should consider making it into a hikers/campers primitive campground and rent the shelters out nitely. It'd be a great income for you! That's what I'd do with it! And they can watch every shelter they stay in being built on your KZbin channel too! You could even cut primitive hiking trails to all the shelters.

I've been diagnosed with faulty valves in my legs. Can't walk far but since I've found corporals corner, I drag myself outside and practiced with fire starting methods and char cloth. Keep rope and string laying around to practice knot tying etc. You're such an inspiration to me and this channel did me good. I thought I was dying because of my pain and no help or diagnosis from over 40 doctors. Having surgery soon. Pray it helps cuz I'ma be out there in those woods and forests.
