I got this watch, and love it so far... but I could use some insight. Do you know how to get into the Android settings? I don't mean the settings from the bubble or arc menu, but the ANDROID settings that controls the android pin, etc etc. I cannot get to where you would usually find it because of the circular screen and on the overlay on the PIN screen you cannot use the square screen change option at that point when you come out of standby. Any help would be appreciated on a work around to get into the Android settings area. Thanks.

It's possible, Henrik, but not likely. Each new version of Android OS has more and more security features and lockdown on things. We jumped from A5.1 to A6 to A7.1.1 really quickly, but haven't seen another jump for quite awhile now. That says something.

Also this is second charge plate I went thru and had to order another from aliexpress. Plate charged the watch for two days and stopped working. Two plates didn’t work. You can either try and get the latest firmware and flash it yourself, or keep trying. If you're not in the USA or China, it might not be available to your country for some reason. Otherwise, keep trying. With the virus outbreak, there could be an issue on their server end and it's simply not responding or not connected since the Chinese holiday.

Sorry I have to be short, but the long answers are scattered throughout this channel: Try updating your Google apps through the Google Play Store. It probably won't affect your firmware download update, but it's all I can think of that might help. No other application works but WiiWatch2. I do have a video review of that app here on the channel. Sorry to hear, Charles. They are constantly shifting things around and usually keep limited inventory around. Might have sold out USA stock for Christmas. As for any type of Pay, it won't be there for pure Android phones as there's no supported NFC in the watches. You need a WearOS watch, like the Ticwatch Pro, or a Tizen based watch, like the Samsung Galaxy Watch (Samsung Pay) or Apple Watch (Apple Pay) to make payments in the USA.

You can install apps that you put on an Android phone on this watch, so if you have an app you use on your phone for that, put it on the watch with the Google Play Store and it should work.

I just got a Kospet Optimus Pro 3 GB RAM/32 GB storage and it's not finding the most up to date firmware. IIRC, there must have been an update after the 3.0 / 2019-08-30. I have tried through the watch's wireless update festure & in the Wiiwatch2 app after pariing the watch to my phone. Both claim my watch is already up to date. Is this right? Have there really been no updates for the Kospet Optimus Pro after August 2019?

Since this is the first I have ever heard of it, I'd say it's an isolated case. It sounds like your battery may have been just about out of power and trying to tether it might have shut the watch off completely. So I'd try and charge it overnight and see if it will turn back on.

It depends on the watch. Look for a rating of 5ATM if you want to swim with it. A rating of IP68 can usually be put under water briefly, but dry it off quick. IP67 appears to be a rating for surviving light splashes of water. This does NOT match the true meaning of these ratings, bit it appears to be the reality of how these watches are built.

For things like temperature, there needs to be a hardware upgrade, so I don't expect to see it through a software update.

It's always wise to charge overnight if you can, at least the first few times after draining it down to 10% or so. After that, they recommend charging to about 80%

So I've been searching through the internet for a watch that's no more than 40 dollars, has music control, weather, and all the standard stuff, and also doesn't use the fundo app. The only watch I've found is the Zeblaze Vibe Pro. Set up Google Photos to auto upload your gallery photos and then access them from any Android device.

Yes you can. If you set up Google Photos to upload your photos taken with your phone to the cloud, then put the Google Photos app on your watch, you can access the photos in your account directly on the watch once you have your watch connected to the Internet (WiFi recommended). Also, you should be able to upload your pictures taken with the watch to Google Photos as well and see them on your phone, tablet, computer, or even TV, wherever you have Google Photos available.

That is totally incorrect about a factory reset after installing a new firmware update. The reason is over time you gather more apps over time and factory resetting wipes them all. You may have a lot of apps and a pain and long time reinstalling them. A factory reset is not needed or recommended at all. A reboot is all that is needed and clear away any install left over data and clear cache. The only time you need a factory reset is if for some reason your watch fails to start or lockup for any reason. You dont factory reset your phone or PC after every update. The new firmware rewrites over top of the d firmware anyway and refreshes and refreshes it. Your reflashing your rom, not your ram which is totally a separate memory. A factory reset is there as a last resort if anything else fails like a complete lockup, etc. You should never factory reset if you have apps, etc allready on your watch as they can take a long time to reinstall or find again. From a brand new watch like you are showing with only factory apps and nothing else is fine, but once you start customizing your watch with apps dont do a factory reset at all unless there is a major problem. When you update a new firmware the rebooting process clears away residue left over in ram from the install process. Never had an issue by not doing a factory reset everytime after a firmware issue. A factory reset formats everything and you never do this with a pc or phone or watch and is there as the last resort. I have a lot of apps on my phone, so just imagine how long it takes to have to reinstall everything. In the old days a factory reset may have been the case but not today,? As your essentially reflashing your Rom its wiping it and rewriting it anyway. So dont give people the wrong information please.

I suggest anyone and yourself look at this. Your ill informed you need to do a factory reset each firmware update. It's no different than updating a pc or apple ios. While it is ok to factory reset at the odd time, is fine ,after every firmware is rediculous and a watch there seems no backup your apps. Remember every factory reset wipes your apps out also and a pain to find and reinstall them each time. When your phone updates they never say to do a factory reset and reboot which clears the memory without deleting your apps. When you reboot the memory caching etc is cleared anyway and your watcher phone reboots to a restart and clears the memory. An occasional factory reset maybe good its certianly not needed after every firmware. And if you do do a factory reset you need to find a way to backup your apps and important data if you do.

Dennis, hello? Did you see the beginning part where I suggest new watch users don't even bother putting in their height and weight as we would be wiping it out later? This is all about a fresh new watch out of the box. There's nothing to wipe out and everything to gain by following a firmware update with a factory reset. Voila, a brand new watch from the very beginning, only updated without any straggling artifacts from the previous firmware lingering around. The repeat cycle is to make sure all updated have been applied before settling down and actually using the watch and installing functional apps. After that, yes, check for updates and take them if you want them, and consider a factory reset if you don't mind starting over. It's often a tradeoff between convenience and potential sluggish watch performance. Appreciate your warning, but if followed as an new user tutorial for a brand new watch, there are no apps and other important data on the watch to worry about wiping out. Go one of these watch no good does not work on Verizon I was told it did you can't change the weather it's all Celsius all the watch faces has to be downloaded on a computer and then put on the watch

Yes, it does not work on Verizon, or Sprint for that matter as they don't use the GSM network. The weather shows up in BOTH C and F these days. No need to choose! No, watch faces can be added simply by scrolling to the end of the list and tapping the "Plus" sign to load any of over a hundred additional faces. You just need to have the watch on WiFi. Not sure where you are getting these alternative facts from.

Yes, correct. It DOES NOT work on Verizon. The networks are totally different. It would be like trying to listen to FM radio on an AM radio player. It just won't work.

Oh, you mean on the watch face, not on the weather app screen. Correct, on the watch face, if it has temperature, it is Celsius only. But a quick swipe to the weather app will show in both scales. Besides, it will help you learn to read Celsius and convert from C to F so you can read C on your watch face.
