Went on a hunt for some record store day releases.

I went to Salzer’s in Ventura. Got in line around 5am. I got Hawkwind, Flock of Seagulls, Sir Douglas Quintet, Suicide, and Jonathan Richman. Got everything I wanted.

Always enjoy your exploits. I’m sorry you didn’t get what you wanted today, but I’m sure you eventually will. I’m not a rsd person. I don’t do lines very well ( age and I can’t stand too long). As always well done

yeah having to stand in a line for records was really strange lol. I did end up getting what I wanted, a few people helped me out and sent me some Instagram pages that were selling them. a nice benefit of being part of the VC

I did not wait in line but hit stores later in the day and Sunday and found what I wanted. Obviously what I want is not very popular lol

Interesting the small shop still had Duran Duran on the wall, we have a small shop and they still had 3 cranberry albums on Sunday.

I haven’t gotten super into Duran Duran yet, I was able to manage to find a record store online with some cranberries too guess I live near a lot of cranberries fans 😆

Much better than yours. I waited the 2 hours and 40 minutes to get in Piranha and got all 14 I was after. T-rex, Quatro, Hawkwind, Froese, T-Dream, Wyman, Husker Du, Vit String Quartet, Boris, D Summer, W Zevon, Sword, Canned Heat, Wild Carnation. They had plenty of everything approaching noon. In line at 0840, store opened at 10, made it in at 11. When I got in line, the line went the length of the shopping plaza, and was doubling up a fair amount. Much better than Waterloo...when I drove by at 0740 the line was 6 city blocks long--hard pass there.

Not many have bought the cranberries lp.. I was lucky to get a copy. Only 4000 made.

Aloha Monica, Saw the Cranberries on Discogs for $35.00 + $5.00 shipping. I was in line at 3:30 am & I was #7. The first 3 said they were their at 12 midnight. 2nd came at 2am , then 3am . I had fun, got to talk to others while waiting in line..... Discogs has some of these titles but some are pretty high on the secondary market. Looking forward to watching your next video. Mahalo Ed

I got Beach House, Poe, DIIV and Blur! My list keeps getting shorter. There was a UK only release of Siouxsie and the Banshees that was ordered from a record shop overseas!

I got everything i went for,it was all in the first four crates i went through. It was Rich Kids, Klark Kent, Madness and Warren Zevon, then there were 20% off, old RSD stock, and among them, i found one by King Kurt. So i was very happy with this years RSD.

Hi Monie 👋 - The Swifties were out early & the lines were long. 1975 & Beach House had very limited pressings & went fast. This was RSD as it used to be. I picked up a Blur compilation of oddities & of course .. The Cure. ✌️

I picked up Crispin Glover’s album. It’s super weird, but strangely interesting. I’m glad it was reissued because the originals are hard to find and expensive.

Hi Monie! My record Stores in Michigan were really crowded too. I was at least in the top 10 in line. I got The Paul McCartney, Elvis Presley, Larry Coryell, Jonathan Richman, and Jerry Garcia Band RSD vinyl. I might get another record from EBay in a few weeks if they have it. Enjoy your records.

@@MonieMuse I headed out at 3 a.m. to get 6th in line. It took an hour to get there. I go back to my hometown for Record Store Day. Thank you as well. Looking forward to listening to them. I hope the Cranberries will go down in price for you. I'm hoping Behind The Dykes vol 3 will not be too expensive on the market. Just have to wait a few weeks for recovery with the money I spent on the other records.

Because people are idiots today and back then people were nicer ! looks like a nice Cure album , Who's Tim Apala is that a 2010's artist? I like cd's but NOT Coolio? my record store isn't close to me I forget where it is it's somewhere in New Jersey not close to Paramus + I don't know where the turns are the name of the store is called Vintage Vinyl.
