Oooh Jeri, I was laughing so hard (with you, not at you) when you said you filmed the ceiling. I’m sorry but it just sounded really funny 😀. I wish I could come and help you clean up but I live in the Netherlands. Otherwise, i wouldn’t hesitate because you seem like wonderful company! But for now i’ll just enjoy your videos from here. Thank you so much and enjoy your creative get together, that sounds like fun!🍀💖Machteld

And now I am back to watch the rest and you just talked about videoing the ceiling, oh no I feel your pain. I haven't done that but can so imagine how it could happen. I have nearly done it because I do my piece to camera with the front camera then use the back camera for the desk, so like you say, I can peek up at the screen, and once or twice I have checked at the last minute, did i flip the camera? And I hadn't... I have, however 'videod' for an hour then looked back and actually what I did was take a photo of my desk and that was all. 😂

Oh that's a killer too! I've had all sorts of mishaps, mostly everything is working for me now. I've zero'd in on distance and now that I can see the top of my phone, I wont do that again, filming the ceiling! But I do have some pretty good audio! LOLOLOLOL ❤️❤️❤️

Just so you know, I've pinned just about every video of yours that I've watched and will probably continue to do so. I have 100's of Pinterest boards between jewelry, Arts and Crafts, home dec, gardening, etc. so, some videos go into multiple boards (folders). When I Pinned this video, I saw countless versions of the idea made into cuffs. Some are simple and some are extremely detailed. Some are super sweet & feminine and others more abstract, in neutrals and very textural like your piece. It seems there are as many unique pieces as there are unique creators. I love how you referred to this piece as a fabric collage. It's exactly what I was thinking. Fabric collage looks like so much fun. I can hardly wait to do the same with my massive collection of fabrics I've collected over the last few months. I'm not a quilter, so I had to buy fabrics, trims and thread. BTW, I understand about layering in mixed media. I've dabbled in that too. One thing I handmade is a paper journal and I really "went to town" on the chipboard cover between layering paint, molding paste, stenciling, and fibers to stitch the binding. I think a fabric collage with various fabric types and, trims, & embroidery will be more fun. I know for sure I'll be making a new bible cover with some of my work, as well as some Boho cuffs. Looking forward to sharing with the FB group.

Im a little confused about what the scroll is used for? A sampler? I hate to see some of the stitches covered up in the layers. I guess I can't wrap my head around what to do with this scroll
@JeriBellini3 ай бұрын
It's all about the process... To just keep moving and be expressing yourself creatively. So I guess you could call it a sampler of sorts. Thanks for asking about it, I'm sure others have the same question. 💜

What is Eco printing? Love your videos and your stories. 🙃
@JeriBellini3 ай бұрын
It's when you layer leaves on paper or cloth and then cook them. The print of the leaf transfers to the fiber because there is a natural dye in them called Tannin. ❤️

"I videoed the ceiling." Ha ! That's exactly the kind of thing I'd do. I love the scroll you're sewing, and particularly that last section with the variations on a simple running stitch. I'm sat here watching you while embroidering. I've just realised the fabric pen I'd used to mark out my shapes isn't fully dissolving away when I apply water to it. Oh well, never mind. I'll find ways of stitching over those marks, and just see them as an opportunity to think up a creative solution to disguise them. Hope you're well, best wishes. Val x
