You know Manfred von Richthofen didn't have a mustache. The most odd thing with red baron, Richthofen was literally buried 4 times. First in ww1, second post ww1, third by the nazis and the fourth by Richthofen's family.

I understand why the remade this set and I also understand why there are only few "polish" changes in the new one. Basically it is a remake on the level of Bismarck or the 1:48 Sherman or T-34. So I do not see it as a new model but rather an extension of it's shelf life with some improvements. So overall it is great if you did not manage to get the old one in time. The price is a bit higher but that is to be expected and I do not see it as a problem or an attempt to squeeze more money out of us.

This new all red affair is certainly looking better than it's predecessor and even the mini-figure doesn't have a terrifyingly creepy expression on his face. Only slight critique I have of it are the wheels which had somewhat overly meaty tyres to look authentic. Would have loved to have had this kit when I were young but those days are long gone tragically. I made an Airfix one, so my childhood wasn't totally deprived :D
