Honestly on a release like this of a beloved older game I prefer they change as little as possible, no putting in bs filters or changing odd rendering of some stuff, but 50 bucks is a piracy-able offense

Same bro I honestly don’t get when people say they wanted a complete remaster or whatever, I am so happy they didn’t change shit. I love the old graphics in the game and same with L.A Noire, another R* banger game. I just like the old nostalgia with the games

The color palate is better, and it looks like the AA method has been beefed up (most notable on the horse's mane 4:47), oh and the LOD was increased a lot. I'd say it's a great port considering many "remasters" slap 20 saturation filters on them and call it a day (crysis remastered moment)

The LOD improvements and such are so sick, but there are some immersion breaking bugs related to animations, such as them abruptly switching to another one and NPCs spawning on top of bottles, t-posing, etc. that were not in the 360 version. Hopefully, they patch those. Otherwise the port team did a fantastic job. Really cool to see a good port of a classic game.

Some shadows really disappear too close to the cam on the Xbox version considering this is from two gens ago.

The Xbox version is essentially the Xbox 360 version running in backwards compatibility, that's why.

Red dead redemption hasn't looked better on any gaming platform since its release, as can be seen in this video. This game was the reason I sold my playstation 3 the year it was released.

The Xbox is the Series X enhancement of the Xbox 360 version, it is pretty much just a resolution bump to 4k

They could at least upscale the textures with an AI...If you get close to a wall you see the quality texture from ps3, 360

Not really just a simple port but actually a remaster with all of the stuff shown here but still NOT a remake. Totally different words in the context of game design. 50 bucks is still scummy for a remaster like this.

The Xbox Series X thing is not something native. It is a resolution rescaling of an emulated game. Basically it is an emulation with resolution rescaling. I have it on Xbox One X and I bought it on Steam… (there's nothing like playing a good game in 32:9 Ultrawide)… Let's call things as they are.
