I am a Yankee fan and THIS is the classiest thing I have seen in baseball. Cheers to the Red Sox and their fans

I'm a Yankees fan born and raised and have the typical hatred for the Red Sox. But this is the perfect example of class and respect from the Red sox organization. Thank you for the video and thank you Mo!

As a Red Sox fan, Rivera and Jeter are and were the only two players I respect. I tip my hat off to the both of them in respect.

I'm a Boston native and a Red Sox fan, but this is a very well-deserved tribute to a stellar closer and a true professional. God bless Mariano Rivera.

I attended this contest in honor of Mariano. The Red Sox did an awesome job! It was odd seeing Fenway Park quiet before a NYY/BOS game. Awesome!

This is too awesome man. I absolutely hated seeing Mo come out of the bullpen, because I knew that we had to be extraordinary to try and even touch the ball. Still can't stand the Yankees, like they can't stand us, but this honor to a great man and ball player is MOST deserved. Mo was a tyrant on the mound. Mo owned the mound. And he did it with the utmost of class. Honestly couldn't even picture him without the blue pinstripes. Thanks for posting David. Had tears in my eyes.

As a Yankees fan since becoming baseball-aware at the age of 8 in 1974, I saw some amazing Red Sox players over the years. I think that Carlton Fisk was one of the greatest catchers of all time, Jim Rice was the most fearsome hitter in his generation, and Carl Yazstremski is one of the greatest and classiest players of all time
@kylelever86265 жыл бұрын
It was always terrible being a Red Sox fan watching him run onto the field. It was like watching a Yankees win trot out to the mound. You must always respect greatness and he was nothing shy of that. Derek Jeter is also a player that even Red Sox nation will remember and appreciate. At the end of the day it’s just a sport, but there’s nothing better then a fierce rival and great competition. Thank you New York for being both for all these years. Underneath the masshole attitude and there is compassion even for our rivals.

I am a Yankee fan and how intense our rivalry is with the Red Sox think that was truly classy that they did something like that for Mo. Trust me when you go to one of these Red Sox , Yankees games the fans just don't like eachother. Truly am honored to have a rivalry with such a classy organization.

That 2005 opening day moment was the day I became a Mariano Rivera fan. It truly DID forever make him a favorite among us Redsox fans. To acknowledge that mock cheer with a tip of his hat and huge smile on his face, how can you not love that reaction??..... The sportsmanship, the class,.... just remarkable. He'll be missed.

I am a Red Sox fan and I am certain I will cry when Jeter plays his last game at Fenway. All those years of him ruining my day will come to an end and the end of a beloved, heated rivalry. God Bless Derek Jeter.
