Can you please tell me why you roll it in a towel to cool as opposed to letting it cool flat?

You need to roll it while it's still hot because the cake is more "flexible" right out of the oven. If you wait to let it cool, it won't roll and will break apart.

The cake stuck to the paper!!! So the design came away from the roll. And it just cracked mast of the way through whilst rolling too. 😔😔😔 I would add a photo but it's not showing an add photo button
