My grandma's name was Virginia and we called her Gramma Virgie. She passed away while I was in the ICU following open heart surgery. I was 17 and the only thing I could think or talk about back then was being a cattle rancher. She'd smile and tell me about granddad and his big herd. Well, I've got my herd now and I'm raising show cattle on the farm she and granddad built together. I must not have grieved properly when she passed because this came on one day while clipping for a show and I broke down sobbing in front of the college kids I have working for me. It was so cathartic. Idk why I'm telling a bunch of strangers but this feels good too. Tyler may be a wild mountain man, but he's a good boy.

Mr. Can you make folks cry when you play and sing, have you paid your dues, can you moan the blues, can you bend them guitar strings......... Yes, yes he can. The true measure of genuine God given talent is evident if people are moved by your passion, if you can touch their hearts deep down inside , then you have it, if your music doesn't have any effect on them emotionally, then you don't. Tyler has it.

It took 14yrs to find the right song for when I think about my grandma. I hope Tyler doesn’t slow down. He’s got the best voice out there right now and I LOVE the way he writes his shit. The way he describes shit just... I don’t know man but this motherfucker has got it. Whatever it is. Cheers

It’d been tough to spend time with my grandmother countries away and I finally had to say goodbye to her a day ago. Thank you so much this beautiful song, she always loved the English music id show her when I visit and I’m sure she woulda loved this one the same❤️

My grandpa recently passed and I’ve listened to/sang along to this almost everyday since. I sing it with everything I have, sobbing, while I think of him. Thank you Tyler❤️ your music is a blessing, it’s really helped me deal with this. I loved my grandpa so much, I miss him so much

My name is Cody. Lost my aunt and grandmother in the same year a few years back. Grandpa joined them a few months ago. I still catch little glimpses of them from time to time. Work and life have been hard lately. But then I heard this song for the first time today it came on a completely random country station. My cousins, who my aunt called "the boys" and I would hang out near my aunt's pond a lot, an area that we all called "the salt flats." Some of my best memories were there or at my grandmother's house that we all filled. When I heard the line "can't you see her up there Cody?" I completely broke down. This song means so much to me. A sign from them. Thank you

We all have people we lose over time. And some are sweet like Cody’s grandma and some run down a different path, but both hurt the exact same. I hope you guys can all find your Virgie and relate. I can see them up in glory every day

I was raised in Martin County Ky. This song pulls on my heart strings ever time I listen to it. I recently lost my grandmother which was the love of my life. We made a memorable date in heaven just before she passed. She went with Jesus at midnight on her 97th birthday. Praise God for a life of wonderful memories!
