Tip on installing a chain. Use a ziptie to hold the links together while you put in the master link. Works very well

I really love seeing you guys here at rbg and cars and cameras. There are plenty of other tinkerers on youtube but your channels are closer to the reality that most of your viewers are going to experience. You put up serious time and effort to make your projects and videos and I bet lots of people learn as much from you guys as their 12 years of "education"

Awesome channel. AWESOME shop/skills you have! THANKS for parts link & discount code! I am in the middle of armchair engineering a 3rd makeover and perhaps final upgrade to a Twister kart frame that has grown over the years with my daughter. It is morphing into a cross-kart. Keep up the work you do!
@MrGOTJOE6 жыл бұрын
I love your videos, you and a fellow channel have really got me into these gokarts. I'll be purchasing an offroad gokart hopefully before the end of summer. I'm in Alaska where our summers are only 3 months long. So I'll have all winter to build a sweet gokart. I'll be watching your upgrade engine videos a bunch to help my build. Thanks again guys for all your videos. They're great.
@MrGOTJOE6 жыл бұрын
I agree. I work on a hay farm so we don't do hardly anything during the winter months so I'll have endless time to customize the gokart. Then I'll be able to cruise around just about anywhere since our snow levels have been so low over the past 10 years. I'm looking forward to starting the project. Down side to all of it is the FACT that Alaska doesn't have many options for parts gokarts ect. due to shipping. Most companies won't ship to Alaska. So I'm sure I'll have to fabricate most of my parts from scratch. But I'm prepared for it.

I’m curious as to why y’all abandoned this build? I’m using the same engine in a go kart and wondering what issues y’all ran into.

Your chain is hitting the retainer and bolts on the engine side sprocket. I'd recommend a larger sprocket there a much larger one on the jackshaft input side. Keep the one on the output side of the jackshaft and smaller on the axle. More ground clearance, more better. For example, 16-32-16-32
@RedBeardsGarage6 жыл бұрын
We will play with the gearing once she is all up and running. I didn't even think about it for ground clearance but that will work perfect. Thanks for looking out man
@tslater19896 жыл бұрын
Red Beard's Garage No problem boss. We have a small fleet of karts in my barn. Starting a dingo XL build soon. Just gotta get the parts around. Might go this route myself. Oh and btw, I have seen it done, but also mounting the brakes on the jackshaft. Which seems iffy to me, but might be worth trying for a vid. Thanks for acknowledging your viewers!
