In this compelling and emotional talk Marie Alessi shares her own experience of being labelled as a widow and how much this can restrict your healing process. An encouraging and personal share of tools you can use to step out of the pain and create a life you can love after loss. A must watch for everyone. Marie loves life. She has developed an insatiable desire to heal the world from grief. After 7 years of being a Mindset Mentor, her tools were put to the test when adversity shook her family of 4. She took everything she had learned to become a shining example for her two boys - and now thousands of people around the globe. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

I have watched many videos and read many books about grief in the last couple of months. The words you speak, your plan for moving forward is as close to my philosophy...my journey forward as I have found thus far. I gave the eulogy at my husbands funeral two months ago and I said "....heartache is a very real pain. It can be overwhelming. But it will not blind me to the love and beauty and joy that exists in the world. .......Even with heartache, I will find at least one thing each and every day to be grateful for. I will look for beauty. I will reach for joy. There is always, ALWAYS something to be grateful for. " As I have been perusing various sources on the subject of grief, I began to question whether or not it was acceptable for me to move forward in this way. Thank you for your words...your truth resonates with me.

I agree with u start with a blank canvass & begin again. My husband passed away 3 yrs ago (married 44yrs). I found a new journey in my life to help others & teach them with wisdom that they can overcome any obstacle that might keep them from growing. I feel truly blessed because with God’s help I feel empowered to help others with Little acts of Kindness🙏
