Yeah I agree. As their own designs they look great, but as redesigns of monster high characters they get a bit off.

I agree, but I feel like they held back. Monster High was all about alternative/edgy fashion and I feel like the designers went the safe route and went for more basic clothes, instead of exploring alternative subcultures which everyone was expecting

Lagoona is slightly see through because she is themed closer to deep sea fish now. So kinda like anglerfish. A lot of super deep sea fish are translucent.

She was definetely in the cheerleading team! And I think she went to some sports competions too. She was both athletic and fashionable. (Clawdeen)

clawdeen did cheer and soccer (football) in gen 1. my fave redesign you did was draculara. i do really wish the reboot leand more lolita with dracularas design.

I really do like your Frankie design! Here's a comment to clear some questions on why they're blue (you were basically right lol): Universal/Disney has a copyright on Frankenstein characters to where you cannot make them have neck bolts or green skin (and others but those are the main rules) so they tried to make Frankie as close to green as they could and that made lagoona pink 😭😭😭

Oh my gosh, your redesigns are amazing! My favorite has to be Lagoona! The translucent jacket is such a smart idea and came out super gorgeous. I also like your Draculaura redesign a lot. My favorite Gen 1 ghoul is Clawdeen, idk she's a queen ok 👑 and they did her dirty with this Gen 3 redesign... Doesn't fit her aesthetic in my opinion. You inspired me and I'm going to draw some redesigns myself 😸 I would love to see your takes on Ghoulia, Cléo and Deuce 🥺

Aww thanks so much! Lagoona's design was a lot of fun to work on! There's a good possibility I'll do with again soon with the ghouls I missed cause it was such a fun challenge🥰🥰

Honestly, while I don’t mind the decision to change Frankie’s pronouns, I wished the creators kept similar to the original concepts, but in their own way. Cause these G3 designs are bugging me out Frankie’s design looks decent, but cluttered. Draculaura doesn’t look half bad, but doesn’t feel like the Draculaura we know and love Cleo is one of my Favorites of the redesigns, tho I initially assumed it was Nefera’s redesign, cause she is more associated with the Blues and Golds. Cladween’s has the opposite problem of what Frankie’s has for me. It’s so boring. Lagoona’s is super pretty, but doesn’t feel like Lagoona. Torelei’s is actually completely fine with me. Though I’d slightly ruffle her hair a touch more. Ghoulia is actually kinda cute. Abbey, like Draculaura and Lagoona, doesn’t feel like is close to what the original was, a tough girl, with a soft spot for her friends.

I ADORE these designs 🖤💛🖤 Your skill is top notch and I love the visual storytelling (I think that’s what it’s called) Quick thing I wanted to say: the fact that Frankie is non-binary is great! BUT! They way they introduced it was uhh not great. It’s kinda awkward to me “I’m Frankie! Pronouns: they/them” it could have been much more subtle but idk lol Bless you and your art :)

Yeah, sucks they kinda took away the small amount of Non-binary represention in the toy world. It would be nice to have that for kids to have someone who might relate to them.

Please don't call me trans phobic for this They said she/her for G1 Frankie and G3 Frankie they/them, there is no need to correct her saying that she didn't use a lot of they/them and more she/her for G3 but some people can mess up their pronouns when talking about people, so isn't it good that she at least did but messed only messed up a bit? Second of all, it's a cartoon character, to promote a doll, so it doesn't matter if they accidentally forget, hope you understand
