Thinking about trying a new spinnerbait?
In this video, I'm going to be reviewing the Strike King Redfish Magic.
This is a great lure for murky or choppy water because it has a lot of flash and vibration.
It's a staple in areas like Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, North Florida, and the Carolinas.
You'll learn:
- What it looks like in the water
- How to rig it
- The best retrieve to use to catch fish with
- And I'll also show you what I don't like about it
Have you used the Redfish Magic?
Have any other questions about it?
Let me know in the comments below.

I carry a small heavy duty plastic bag. Modified it some with small holes to let any water drain. All lures and hooks used in the salt go in the bag to be rinsed when I get home. Easy to keep in my tackle bag, grab it rinse down later.

Great to have reviews for lures that work in water and structure conditions that we have in the Carolinas! Much appreciated!!

This is so awesome! I just hooked up on my first Red Fish. It just happen a few minutes ago using the spinner bait with a steady straight retreive. Thank You Wyatt and Saltstrong!

Definitely my favorite redfish lure. As you pointed out, being able to change the body and head creates almost limitless versatility. I like to keep zman scented paddlers pre-hooked on jigheads of varying weight and color (white and pinifish color being my faves). If I want to change color, running depth or retrieve speed, I can quickly change thing up. Just unclip jighead and softbody rinse in fresh water and toss back into the zman bag, change to another weight and or color. Great Review Man!

I’ve used Redfish Magic for a while, now, with a lot of success. True story: I was on a road trip along the Gulf Coast, so I took saltwater fishing gear along. Later in the trip I ended up in San Antonio, and had a chance to fish some ponds in the area. I hadn’t brought any freshwater gear, since I didn’t realize the opportunity would arise. Went ahead and started casting using a Redfish Magic - ended up catching bass all day. I always have them in my tackle box now.

I live on the upper Texas coast. O fish inshore and fresh water on the same rods/reels, tackle, lures, and soft baits. It all works the same and does great. ML, M, MH rods with moderate to fast action, all baitcasters, with the same braid to leader or mono.....no reason to have 2 separate sets of equipment.

Keep it fresh by using lemon juice over the blade componetry after saltwater use.. even that used blade with the growth from tarnish etc just use some lemon juice over it and it will come back in good order...Just something I do here in Australia after using blades in saltwater environments...regards B.J.

Damn... just found this video. Threw this for the 1st time last weekend on the Cape Fear River and hooked 1 trout and 4 legal size flounder. Switched out to a gold digger on a Texas Eye Jig. The flatties were loving it but not 1 damn Red! 🤣🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

As you catch fish please ste what kind of fish it is and food value would be helpful too. I Live up North but hope to come South some time and it would be nice to be up on the different species prior. Thanks.

I've always used a clinch knot on everything since I was a kid. I noticed my rod tip buzzing the last time I used it. I was using a light action cast away rod. Do you recommend a medium heavy, heavy, or light as the best to use a spinnerbait
@tysenp8193
@tysenp8193 3 жыл бұрын
You’re gonna want a medium to medium-heavy rod for most inshore saltwater stuff, make sure it has a fast action. It’s hard to judge for yourself, but just tell your local shop you want a good inshore rod with a fast action and they’ll point you in the right direction. I like the penn battalion.

@@tysenp8193 Yeah I use a medium heavy rod for most, but have a light for my baitcast. I meant buzzing as in I felt the correct action when I was using the spinnerbait. I like the Penn Prevail rods. Good solid inexpensive rods.

My #1 flounder lure. It's the only lure I us for flounder. For reds???? It's about my 4th choice. For weedless? My #1 choice. I don't know how that open hook doesn't get hung up but it doesn't.
