Hi redhotsonic my dad beat green hill zone act 1 in under 30 seconds and apparently he got a shower of 1000 rings. can you try this and see if it's true

Beating Green Hill act 1 under 30 seconds is very easy. I usually do it under 25 seconds. As for the 1000 rings in act 1, there's not that many rings in that act (or any act/level for that matter). And I also believe, with the use of debug, the max rings you can obtain is 999.

Hacking a cartridge is pretty impressive, actually. Usually takes Years of engineering experience to learn how to physically solder new switches to the board to make it work differently. Unless you mean he extracted the ROM from the cartridge, thereby making it a flash cart, but even that takes years of experience. Or maybe they used an Everdrive, but that's a lot of money to sink into making a little joke. Unless they fired the game up in an emulator with a custom ROM, in which case, he should've gotten sub-20 with ease with the Spindash!
