My mom graduated HS in 1984 and put me on all of these hits. I bumped most of this in my HS years (2004-2008) and was def a pop culture outcast lol...60s, 70s, 80s, 90s...its still ALL I care about. I am def more open to new music now but it took me awhile. My heart will forever be in a world that came before me

I can tell you I'm 70 years old and long since it's gone the Beautiful music that Beautiful lyrics and actually had some meaning to them I will never forget the 80s I was 30 to 35 years old then it's funny how some of these songs that they have written touch and strike a note today

@@R0ug3_H3m1 How was it back then? Well, for one thing, the "phone" was on the kitchen wall, not in your pocket. There were three channels on TV, which always seemed to be enough. We had a "milkman" who delivered milk right to our doorstep (actually in big glass gallon bottles). No fast food restaurants yet (but they were just a few years away). TV news on TV four times a day: morning, noon, 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. and only at noon and 11 p.m. did it include national and international. No 24-hour news cycle. Of course, no one had a tattoo, no one but bikers and guys who had been in prison or had been in the army or navy, and absolutely no woman anywhere had a tattoo. No social media, of course. No googling anything. Cartoons on TV all morning Saturday morning and half the morning on Sunday. There were still wars (Vietnam). There was still political nonsense, just like today, but not as loud or continual as today. It wasn't all blue skies. But looking back, it seems like it was a good time to be a kid.
