RSgo would not process the 60fps output (shooting mode not supported error). If I used anything else to upscale the footage, the process in BB2GPMF would produce a 0mb file. Used Blackbox Explorer to sync the gyro data with the video file and to find the beginning and ending offset values for use in BB2GPMF. After I processed the file in BB2GPMF, it converted the file to 29.97fps. I used the Session 5 2.7k 4:3 profile, 15 degrees cam angle. Hero 6 profile would not work. ffmpeg.exe -i 1.mp4 -vf scale=2704:2028:flags=lanczos -r 30 2.mp4 pip install numpy==1.19.3 🙏 Please support with a 👍 and don’t forget to hit the 🔔 thanks! 👉 Old gear for sale here - bit.ly/AlbertGearFS 💲 Get the latest exclusive coupon codes (updated often) bit.ly/34SYiGn

Nice to see a video on this. Yes its far from a stable "product" but its good that more people hear about it. especially "we" need more devs working on it. Like gyroflow for example, a reelsteady go replacement which works with any camera or even with the Insta360 (SMO) built in gyro data.

whaaaat ?! genius idea ! it would be interesting to know if our fc gyros are more accurate than gopro ones. however I guess since RS has been bought by gopro company, next version of gopro app will have RS steady stabilization options (that would be great).
@badassdrones7783 жыл бұрын
humm having a second thought about this... For this to work well, gyros has to be as close from the camera as possible and thus be subjected to the same shakings whichisn't the case on most of my quads... May be some smart business dev could sell a dedicated tiny gyro module you can fix on your camera that will then give RS exactly the data it needs... (and even get rid of sync points hassle on the same occasion !) I would buy it ;)

I wonder how difficult it would be to extract gyro/accelerometer values and map them to a transform in Blender or Resolve? That could be a nice alternative to RSGO
@AlbertKimTV3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't know. Perhaps someone else can answer?
@elvin79213 жыл бұрын
It's possible and that's how the proof of concept for what became Gyroflow was done: redd.it/hor0nw and kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z329pp6vaMqcr5Y . The main problems from using the "raw" data in blender/resolve is the lack of any kind of sync or lens distortion information.

Hi there Im hoping you can help After GoPro splits files into 4GB folders and I render each clip separately in reesteady then rejoin in post it never aligns properly and skips frames yet if I rejoin in QuickTime or premier pro it re renders and corrupts the metadata making it unusable for reelsteady As the files are only 5 or so minutes in duration often the best shots are in the middle of these joins and get ruined I cant seem to find a way to rejoin the sections of the same file so reelsteady can render the entire clip This must be a problem for anyone who flys for longer than 6 minutes with a GoPro yet there is no one addressing it am I missing something ?? any tips to resolve this would be much appreciated

The guy who created reelsteady is a drone pilot and he is one of the pioneers of running a naked camera on a whoop, effectively creating cinewhoops. It's like stealing from one of the family. I could understand if you wanted to try it and then buy if you liked, but there's a trial man, there's no need. Imagine you slaved away coding for weeks at a time just to have someone steal all your hard work. Digital or not-- it's stealing someone's property. If you use it a lot, at least CONSIDER buying it to show support. It was just on sale for like 2 months too, was $60. That's when I grabbed it.
