As someone who only started using nomad last night with no 3d experience. I just want to say thank you. This video and the Alpha video using procreate have helped me no end

Hi! I’m completely new to nomad sculpt. But I made a few small things with rhino and blender…. Is there a way to import a picture as a plane? I want to use my reference while it behaves like an object, so I can zoom in on the reference 😅 I hope you understand what I’m looking for 😊

Yes it is possible, though not like some other apps. I will make this video next, thank you for pointing out that I had not made this one yet. I have a photo "brush" that I use just for this purpose, I thought I had made a dedicated video about it already. I think that I have covered its use in a different video. Stay tuned, I will get this out quickly!

@@Original-Werks thank you for replying! I made my own work around by creating a thin plane and using my reference as a texture 😉 but I'm looking forward to see your way nevertheless.

This is useless for me, i dont use nomad anymore.. i just dont get why you cant lock bg picture and object.. cuz the picture is not moving when you are zooming … without this, this program sucks

I understand your frustration. If you enjoy using Nomad Sculpt and want a way to have references scale and track with your objects in the scene, then check out this video I just made. I explain how to use a cube with photos that does all of that and more. FYI Nomad Sculpt just had a new update to 1.75, do that first, there are some important changes to the paint menu. Hope you give Nomad another shot. Enjoy if you do!
