Since many Cartoon Network series have left Max due to licensing issues and inter corporate deals, WBD is trying to make them accessible through anyway possible that is not Max which is really weird but better than nothing. We finally get to own the entire series of Regular Show on DVD.

In all honesty a lot of companies refuse to release shows made in 1080p on Blu-ray despite us being in 2024. But when it comes to movies they will release it on 4K and Blu-ray.

4:12 Technically that's not true. The Flintstones was animated on cels. Cels are hd because they are paint on acetate sheets. If you scan the ordinal negatives and clean up the picture it can be hd.

With Regular Show getting a complete series DVD set in America after all these years, CN now has 9 complete series DVD sets of their shows in the U.S. (I’m not sure if I would count the Ben 10 Classic one because not a lot of people talk about it). But 9 is as low as 8 and 7. Nickelodeon already reached to 14 complete series DVD sets with the Fairly OddParents one released last month. So Nick still has more Complete Series DVD sets than CN has in USA.

It's nice that Cartoon Network has finally put out complete series sets of their shows even though Nickelodeon did a much better job with releasing their shows on DVD. I wish Disney would release their shows as complete series on DVD.

I'm not disappointed in not Blu ray as long as they still make them at all without missing anything unlike the eds set this there's a seperate copy for the movie in case same for ppg especially with how streaming is going and you don't own what you buy on prime or other even how slowly cn finally makes sets like nickelodeon had a load of classics released but not all yet and disney got the least now sticking with disney+

Other than that, I had a great time talking to Bill and Sam after my recent trip and I can't wait to get the Regular Show complete series box set by 2025!!

Christmas for CN is going suck. The Flontsrones was made in the sixties not seventies. So true streaming networks like Max gets rid of its cartoon librsry,Hulu/Disneu Plus might be slowly cutting their old series,Paramoint Plus is cleansing its animated section outside of SpongeBob and The Loud House,and Netflix always gets rid of fantastic series and leaves people with crap and crappy originals(outside House or Cards Orange is New Black Brsaking Bad Stranger Things Wednesday and Euphoria). Thr only shows people talked this year were Shogun and Nonja Kamui which were both fantastic looking and I actually did watch and finished Nknja Kamui on its entirety. 2024 was full of sequels remakes reboots and nostalgia bait than new films. Like heck we got a cinematic version of the play Wicked this year which I’m not a fan of plays turning into movies or movies being turned into plays. Television had little to offer in 2024 as same as for video games and comics. All 2024 was Steamboat Sillie being public domain,P Diddy and Jay Z,Nickelodeon documentary on Dan Schneider,Brst Summer,Mindful and Damor, Seiftmania,and Isher’s Super Bowl. We got season 2 od MAWS,Uzumaki which was a complete disappointment after episode one,IFG,and Toonami Rewind as a Friday block. Cartoon Network doesn’t have that much carroons as the 90s/00s were better times for the channel(even with the millennium in 2001). TV was on the declkne in the late 2000s with Nick and CN. TV became boring for Nick in the 10s and Disney had Gravity Dalla and Star Vs Rhe Forxes of Evil alongside P&F in the 10s Disney Channels died in the early 10s for me. CN declined in 2007-10 before increased revive in 2011-20(which a slow second decline in the late 10s and early to mid 20s). MYV died in the late 2000s to present(either decline in the mid 2000s for MC and increase of reality television). I feel after 20 years in 2004 cable networks started to slowly declkne and the huge decline was in 2007-08 and 2008-09 TV seasons with the writers strike. Yes in the mid 2000s we had Camp Lazlo Fosters Home Ben 10 Avatar and Danny Phantom and Mega XL in the mid-3000s. Who cares at least we get to own it and it still looks good. Also blu-rays are more expensive. I'm grateful they are even selling this. Also this kind of pedanticness might lead them to not releasing any more complete series sets. CN could be like "Hmm.. The Regular Show set didn't sell well I guess we'll stop making them all together. Lets cancel plans for future boxset."

It's not that Blu-ray discs are expensive, but Sony Pictures owns the rights to the Blu-ray format and companies who want a Blu-ray release have to pay Sony the royalties to get it done.

I disagree with the part about not releasing shows like foster’s home for imaginary friends and Ed Edd n Eddy on Blu-ray because yes, they were in standard definition, but you can put SD on a Blu-ray. Just ask Discotek media. when they released the adventures of sonic the hedgehog on Blu-ray and Lupin the third part one on Blu-ray
