Hey Ken you got me by some decades. I can tell you I did grow up hearing a little Dylan. Mostly what you might hear on some oldies or “mix” radio station. Often some movie will make an oldie popular again. Like Twist and Shout in the 80s. Luckily today we can share music online or share these videos with others. What a great time to be alive, eh? Btw, as if to illustrate your point, I don’t remember hearing Dylan and/or The Band do this one. SundayMorning does it awesome.

I just went through my library listening to every version I have (19 of them). Then I spent a week sitting on it so I wasn't rushing to judgment. It's obviously a matter of taste, but the idea that this is the best version extant is perfectly credible, IMO. It's certainly up there with the best.
