To Chris and the whole team: You started making educational videos and tips and tricks on design. Now you're inspiring people to transform their lives and to reach for the stars. You're fostering human growth through service, compassion and curiosity. You're teaching the proverbial man to fish. You're sharing something beautiful with other hearts. This may be the highest calling. I hope all this good you are putting into the world also comes back to you all. Thank you. :)

I started watching your videos a few years ago when I was thinking more about getting into Graphic Design. I'm in my early 40s, a mother and have a background in engineering and 2 years ago, decided to make a yarn-dyeing business, my full-time work. This last year, I stepped out of my comfort zone and embraced the concept of virtual yarn shows. I don't usually comment, but I wanted you to know that your content is useful to people like myself, solopreneurs, trying to grow in a very changing world. Thank YOU very much!

I don't know why this has only 18k views, I think people are afraid of watching long videos.. but guess what whoever will watch it whole.. their life won't be the same after it (if he/she will take action, ofcourse). ~ I'm a Web Developer, stuck in the middle of the nowhere, I'm getting projects but money isn't at all motivating me anymore. I think this video has changed my perspective now I'm looking for the "obstacle" and after than I'll plan my "response." Thanks a lot man :) *23 Oct 21 - update:* I've halted my journey of becoming a web developer, in the process I was having tough time with the "design" part then I decided to learn UIUX and fell in love with that. Being a designer felt more human to me and now I've started my journey of becoming an UIUX designer, it has been 2 months since I started and things are going well still a lot to learn and do.

The value from your honest and raw story is immeasurable. I realize many creatives (and non-creatives) struggle with re-invention, expression, and living the desire of authentic truth. All of this commonly due to the thread of fear in the fabric of our being. Dissonance is real, loud, and obnoxious. Thank you for sharing and motivating us to face the obstacles and overcome.

Thank you, Chris. The part the resonates with me the most is about how COVID-19 pandemic would reshape our economy and the way we do things. I had thought about this around six months ago when I was still deciding on whether to quit my pre-COVID profession and start something different, something that I already am working on but didn't go much further than where I am. You also gave great examples about what former companies, like Blockbuster, didn't do, and the pandemic gave me (and probably many people) a lot of time to reflect my priorities. This talk is another boost to what I'm already doing. Btw, I am a former graphic designer, SDSU graduate (2001), left the profession, went on to do something entire different, and now I have freshly returned and found your graphic design tutorials as a refresher. And that led me to your business talks.

I really really love that video, thank you so much for telling us genuinely about you! Having people watching this from all over the world like me in France, this sure was a strong call meant to be for you, as you inspire us so much! I'm one of these people who are keen to embrace the change and like to experience a variety of trials, but the lack in confidence is always putting me back. When you talk about how you came to make videos on KZbin, it resonates so strongly with me and the suggestion my friend did - I'm always telling him "I'm not sure I'll be able to do this.." although the idea he talks about seems like a dream to me. I'm going to take the calls 💪 Thank you Chris!

Powerful lesson and inspiring. Learnings: 1. How to let go (currently struggling with) 2. Give yourself time to reinvent yourself 3. Just start even if it’s small // Quick story: I have 15 years experience as a freelance project manager, entrepreneur. 2019 I had this feeling that I needed a change my life. I always managed teams and like to share my knowledge. I had this feeling that I wanted to teach people and helping them so they don’t make the same mistakes I’ve made on my journey. A couple of months ago I joined a German start up community. now I’m empowering and teaching start ups. Even build a small coaching group. I didn’t planed this. this work fills me with so much joy and I also learn a lot about myself. Looking forward to the futurE. How do you reinvent yourself? Tell me your story I’m Interested

I watched your first video last week, a white sheet session on profitability and I've never heard anything that practical. I'm a starting graphic designer, so much afraid, so much hiding, making losses all the time, but I'm beginning to understand why. This video gave me so much value, the content was as high level as the production value. I saw your video on critics a while back but to those people, you are really miss understood. They don't have the awareness because they lack the experience and results you've worked so hard for. You're not great for what you've personally accomplished but rather for how you help others succeed. That's why I respect you and the content your produce. I appreciate your ability to combine business development, problem-solving with deductive reasoning, and your understanding of human behavior to create these case study examples. The way you tell your story builds on a linear idea of getting from point A to point B while teaching us how to think creatively and find new solutions. It sounds so simple when you break it down, it creates "Breakthrough" moments, and the light bulb effect happens. Your 1.08 Million subscriber milestone is well deserved. Creating this free piece of content for the community is so generous of you. I am more determined to double my income this year even though I'm 12 weeks behind. I plan on saving to enroll in your boot camps to really maximize my potential. I like how you provided a book list so we can learn more about the concepts you introduced. My two favorite quotes you mentioned are from Maya Angelou and Jiddu Krishnamurti. His books are so powerful especially the conversations he breaks down. Once again thank you so much for giving back and I hope to work with you by June 2022.

I appreciate hearing your voice and I’m pleasantly shocked to find everything that you’re saying makes sense and it’s not judgmental or condescending in the least but instead I find inspiration to even take the first steps to doing something different, stepping outside my own comfort zone is a bit terrifying. I’m oddly reminded of what Bob Proctor shared in one of his most notable lectures about Joseph Campbell about the cave we fear to enter holds the treasure we seek. I’ve never thought of myself as being a genius or a smart person but I do realize that I’m creative and somehow I know that’s the key that unlocks the doors to new possibilities.

I love your breakdown of companies that suffered/succeeded (18:00-19:28) and noticed a pattern with each one of your examples. I ALWAYS say, "People are ALWAYS more important than things." The old companies bacame too obsessed with the product, or the process, because it worked - for the time. Yet, the companies that adapt to caring about the people, those are the companies that succeed. I'm sure that when Blockbuster first started, Wayne Huizenga started with the intention of providing a service for people, but when the company grew, the honchos of Blockbuster was more focused on "Running Blockbuster" and lost sight on the needs of the people. The late, Robin Williams, in Patch Adams but the nail on the head, "If you treat the disease, you win, you lose. If you treat the person, you win, everytime, I guarantee it." This is the philosophy that I have been living by, and I see the impact I am able to make with the people I meet with. When I started a new job at Amazon, (Due to COVID) I didn't know anyone. I quickly realized how focused the managers were on "the process". They were focused on things - all of them. Morale was not very high. Me, being who I am, tried my best to be a cushion between managers and the people, and even though I'm one of the lowest people on the totem-pole, but there will be times when I will ask for help, and people will tell me, "Just know that I am only helping YOU," or "Under any other circumstance, I would out right refuse, but I will be more than happy to help, only because its you." As I have developed myself, over the past decade, with everything that I am learning and studying, my brain is highlighting every example of this whole thing of "People are always more important than things". Anyways. Thank you for this introspective. This was really inciteful, and has given me a lot to think about, too.

Maybe a follow up video you can address what holds people back. because the content in here is really good and will definitely make a difference in peoples lives but the reality is probably about 20% will ever take action. Please don’t feel that this a criticism just talking from my own perspective of my own life… Love the work keep it coming

this is probably the most useful and insightful assessment of obstacles and the wins that overcome them. I am an artist who is evolving into video editing. I am fascinated by it. But I am aged 60. Who wants to have their videos edited by an old lady. Well technical skills and creativity is a talent regardless of age. I gotta find my community, because I have something to offer!

Sometimes I'm blind to the obstacle. I just see problems, not obstacles. Of course, it's easier to see the obstacle in hindsight. I'm going to start asking myself every day what obstacles are in my way in order to truly recognize them for what they are, not what I think they are. Thank you, Chris and the Futur team. Great video!

My obstacle though is I don't have money, not enough resources, can't practice, can't make my portfolio nicely, can't find job, nowhere to start. It's hard if you're poor, I've been doing the "do more with less" for a long time, guess I'll just have to give up the passion

I can soooo relate to you saying that you thought you had a boring voice. I have the same issue while I'm making videos, but then again, this is just me. I'm not an extraverted person like Garyvee and Peter Mckinnon, and I think I should just embrace it. There's a whole audience that prefers more 'chill', 'calm' people instead of the extraverts. I'm still trying to find my voice on this platform, but I'm getting one step closer with each video I make. It isn't easy, buy I'm enjoying the process! Keep doing what you do Chris, you're a legend!

I resonated with the first part of the video, I thought I was the only one that thought like this, I'm a really diverse person and I love learning, I don't really go out much, so I'm always on KZbin learning new things... practicing for hours and hours since I don't have much else to do, and I have come to a point where I can do graphic design, motion graphics, ui design, video editing all in a competitive level, but I dislike the idea of leaving behind all of these other things I have learnt just to stay in a single path. plus I believe in order for one to create a company, the more you know the better. it's like, if I know how to do all of these things, the moment I hire someone to work alongside me or get a business partner, it is exactly because I know how quality should look like that I can validate that person to be the one to be with me. but some people do not see it that way. it's odd tho, because even the wealthiest people, they all diversify, they're not good at just ''one thing''.

Bravo! This is awesome stuff! Took copious notes. Loved the appropriate quotes used throughout and the book list too. I allow myself to watch only one random YT video a day whilst eating breakfast. I look at the random algorithm supplied list and video title and see what really draws me. So many times these single daily videos have randomly presented with relevant information just when I need them and seem to convey a message that I ironically need, or have been looking for in other ways. I have been on my own 'threshold' after retiring and not wanting to, this last 2 years, looking to jump 'somewhere' and waiting for a call and I thought I was going mad but now I know I wasn't. It is out there. I just need to look and listen. I keep being told to look more inside me with the sole purpose of looking to offer help to others and this film so identifies with that too. Thanks Chris and BTW your voice is Magic!

It's your values as a professional and genuine focus on doing the right thing while still focused on business growth that sold me on your content, not your voice. That's the winning mentality in today's business world. Your voice is calming with a clear confidence in yourself and process which gives trust to what your saying. I think everything is in alignment for you, and you just had to get out of your own way like everyone else does to make progress. Appreciate your sharing of your vulnerability in your turning point, yet again, another genuine way to inspire others.

I notice a similarity in all viral content. Nas Daily and Mindvalley and now this - quality production, great scripting, and most importantly, brevity, clarity and simplicity that is on point. I discovered that this is the secret of making a powerfully crafted message. I love the stylish typography. Really impactful. The B-rolls are thoughtful. I love the colors and motions. And how you make something supposedly "tutorial-ish" poetic, reminds me of the same feeling I get watching MindValley. Your story-telling style reminds me of Sarah Snow but in a positive, uplifting way. Sarah is powerful in her storytelling because of her ability to provoke emotions. Her video draws her audience in, as you are in the scene with her. You are very refreshing in this manner, presenting educational videos in a new light. My problem is this 我有很好的鉴赏能力但是我的创造力远远不如我的想象力。 That is double the blow. P/S: I am curious. You speak like a native speaker so what's the problem with how you sound? Unless you speak with another non-native speaking accent previously that might have a little issue. Else, it is truly an issue in the mind. I envy all who speak this well.
