I can relate to this shit in my life as well. At my workplace my co-worker or supposedly half supervisor is like 6.2, blue eyes and very good looking blonde chad young fellow who is probably 8 or 8.5 out of 10. All the female co-workers are always there to help him, laugh with him and talk to him and even ignore his mistakes, but me being a borderline midget 5'6" sub-5 Asian guy they get pissed off which reflects on their body language, expression whenever I make a mistake or ask them something when I get confused about my tasks. Okay, here's what I think about looks. “Looks are more important than personality” summarized the idea for me. You can change what you think you cannot change, like jawline and teeth, or improve quality features that make you more intriguing. If beauty is something objective, then there's the most objectively beautiful person in the world, and if that exists, then you can certainly improve in any way. There are no boundaries for improvement.

It just depends on where you fall on the spectrum, in conjunction with your standards, fucks given, etc. Sounds like you're sub-5/normie. So , your attitude makes sense. For me (I think I'm normie, maybe upper tier anyways) I just don't care about sex/relationships as much partly because it's more difficult for me. No, not above average, he is a 4 now, he has nice blond hair , but nothing more well on his face. Not anything particularly bad (well his jaw maybe the worst thing on his face), but not above average. His face is a 4 and his body is just a thin body. If he goes to the gym for 3-4 years, and puts 5 kgr of muscle, he will have a goof definition (he seems to have the body type for it) and overall he will become a 5/10 in looks.
