This is very significant explanation but how many ppl wd understand it... after a few months followed ur techniques n understood that the relaxation is very important... 1. Multi focus not tunnel vision. 2. Watch things w/3d panorama Follow 1, 2 all locking muscles r opening N then slowly my eyes learn how to relax...then reach to Active Focus more often.... Click Active Focus....wow everything z very very clear ...but it'll go away soon...

I don't expect people to understand this at first. I didn't even understand it at first but here's what I realized. I had to teach myself a new way of seeing first because I've been doing it differently for so long. Then I learned through the techniques that I was starting to relax. The techniques like rocking and noticing the peripheral have relaxation built into them but until you learn the techniques, it's hard to understand the concept that they make you relax as well. It's kind of like that which came first, the chicken or the egg? Many don't realize this but the techniques I learned don't fix the eyes! They fix the nervous system and start to take you from a sympathetic to a parasympathetic state. I started my journey with the intent to fix just my eyes. I realized through the journey I was fixing a lot more than what I realized and I'm still evolving on that journey to this day!

A year ago I commented that we shouldn't hold our breath. And now I'm realizing that there's a correlation between continuous movement and breathing. For example, if I try to concentrate on just breathing without moving continuously (even if on an imperceptible scale) in a short time I will hold my breath again. And breathing without movement creates a weird feeling, it creates a feeling that some piece of the puzzle is missing. A feeling that "Windows Explorer is not responding", the world seems dead. This led me to see the obvious: life is movement > movement depends on oxygen. It's like an unconscious connection, moving continuously automatically makes the body breathe properly. It's like a demand from the tissues to be using energy. It's even weird to live in a modern world and even have to relearn how to breathe and move, or as I said before 'move and breathe'. An interesting case that may be linked to what I told you: A friend of mine used to shake his leg a lot when he talked to me, because I criticized his habit so much, he just stopped shaking his leg... strangely, some time later he started to wear glasses for myopia. I've read studies where people who wear glasses have an irregular breathing pattern. Another interesting thing is that continuous movement helps the heart distribute blood throughout the body, carrying oxygen and nutrients.

Another observation, a sensation that I usually feel when I'm seeing perfectly: • There is a micro "delay" between what I perceive and what my mind processes. If I try to process faster, I got only double vision/partial sharpness/blurry • Even expansive professional cameras have a sort of delay while focusing something. If we think about it, glasses did the whole process and we just needed to make our conclusions about what lens was bringing to us. It is something to mimic/practice too, let the image form and only then do the processing, until one day the fine tuning adjusts to the right timing between mind and body. And "the right time" does not mean the faster one.

I just took a walk and tried doing this. I was not able to hear the loudest sound in one ear and softest sounds in the other; I just noticed them. Maybe I need to relax more to do this. I did notice, for the first time in fact, how some sounds come mostly into one ear or the other. To obtain this awareness I had to quiet my mind, which did indeed relax my mind. So well put! The most interesting thing for me is that I discover new stages of relaxation every time in my every day life, while doing the same activities than before. I can even have a bad day and be 'relaxed' about it. Ultimately is our mind who nourishes negative feelings. Otherwise they come and go... Personally, learning about my emotions and how they interact with my thoughts has helped me to relieve stress.

(big text, about limiting beliefs) Many people on this vision improvement journey live strongly attached to the time frame. They want to know exactly how much time they need to "waste" because they are "ashamed" of what "others" will think about them being "wasting time" taking care of themselves. Most are trapped in the opinion of others and also trapped inside a rigid mental clock. They look like robots representing repetitive movements. They cannot make mistakes because someone is going to judge them, as they are very afraid of the opinion of others (because they also judge and criticize as much as others to feel "safe" limiting the rest of the world with their own judgments) then there is less options for them. People who manage to improve their vision with fast progress tend to be a little older, because they realize that over the years, the opinion of others does not make any difference to them. Generally, younger people are too caught up in reacting to "others", building their "walls", "proving" their value, seeking acceptance (even from strangers). There is no such thing as "time", time only exists when you are forced to idealize how things should be all "time". We learn from an early age to compute / limit life in names of days, numbers, sequences that we call "time". But time is relative; Five more minutes at school or work seems like a lot. Five more minutes in bed seems like not enough. We need to be open to possibilities, nobody loses anything by trying to improve their own life experience. It is not a sin, nor a crime. It is not "time", it is life. You can have all the time of your the universe, but without life experience you only have "time" lenght. You all have all the "time" in your life. you have never been a human being before; it's your first time at that age;

It just feels like sensitivity to light That one eye or both "defend" the mind by trying to "cling" to something external so that the mind does not suffer from so much light Or the mind itself "clings" to the eyes so that they do not bring the light completely, as if the mind does not want to process all the light that comes This needs to be practiced until we get comfortable with that feeling. "Sensation" of allowing light to enter.

The biggest change was that I actively try to use the stinging to change the depth in the mid of the eye without focusing anything. Today I still see better than last week's. My only problem is that my eyes and nose feel a bit dry but they are not dry. I also still have slightly visible holes on the nose from my glasses. I hope my eyes don't feel dry when they get used to the new vision.

6th week. A video about blinking would be very appreciated. I know that blinking helps to see sharp but I got a lot of questions about it. For example if one eye sees sharper after blinking it's really difficult to get both eyes to be sharp and text not overlapping. My other problem is that my normal glasses cause headache now after short time, they are still sharp but that's probably a sign to stop wearing them at all. Sorry if those questions got answered already. Have a good time.

I've noticed that when you start wearing glasses full time you leave part of you behind that was carefree. It also changes your self-concept. During intensive vision therapy your self-concept will begin to return to its original form. Wearing glasses will put you off. Even when your vision is not perfect. The way you view yourself and the world will also change. Myopia is just an effect of a deeper symptom that has nothing to do with vision really.

Dear Mark thank you for you videos-I've watched them all for a few times (those concerning myopia) and they've been the most helpful from all materials I've been able to find in net. Your're right about relaxation-sleeping isn't equal relaxation. Every day when I wake up in the morning I feel tension and I have to release the eye muscles. I've got 3 questions for you: 1. have you checked whether the lenght of your eyeballs decreased? 2. How have you managed to work and equalize eyes of different level of myopia-hasn't the stronger eye dominated the weaker one? 3. have you had the computer exam of your vision? According to such an exam my myopia is the same as 5 months ago but i need glasses 1,5D weaker that I used to. My doc said that such a computer exam can show not true results because it doesn't regard accomodation. I wonder how it it in your case. Sorry-one more question-have your eyes improved slowly and constantly or were those bigger and sudden improvements?

I agree, Bates Method talked about it. "Central Fixation". Maybe it has to do with Parallax effect, without this neutral position we cant enble reality "layers". I am noticing that light or reflections of light brings us to this "neutral" position instantly. Cause as human beings we dont seek for objects, first we seek for the light, object (concepts, symbols, shape, sharpness, color, size, etc) is a byproduct of the light "touching" the human mind/soul/heart/counscious in a proper way. If we seek for object, we limit the ammount of light that we receive.

Last year I commented on your channel that my body used to feel lighter when I could see clearly. I think I now know what it is. In Dr. Jacob Liberman's book, there is a passage or a chapter where he says "two become one". Many people on this journey do not understand this, even those people who are already in the last diopter, because they still wear glasses that inhibit the proper and natural "fusion" of the images. We who wear glasses for many years have lost this feeling of "two become one", perhaps because the lenses on the glasses / contact lenses weaken the muscles in the eyes, perhaps due to just a misdiagnosis of a lazy eye that ended up being diagnosed as myopia, there are several hypotheses. Last year Nathan Oxenfeld and you had a very interesting conversation about photography: cameras, lenses and sensors. What is the point about all of this that I said? The point is; I believe that we need to relearn the natural feeling of "two become one". As a result of creating "diffusion" one or both eyes are not wanting to synchronize perfectly. At first the training is in the "camera", that is, in the eyeball, then when we mentally understand the way to produce the effect, then only the "sensor" that will produce the fusion of the two "cameras", no longer needing unnecessary movement of the eyeball. Recording with your cell phone camera (selfie) yourself by moving (and keeping) the weaker eye towards the "center" and then comparing it to recording the movement of only the consciousness (sensor) can help. When I say "consciousness movement" I mean the "intention" that the mind does (maybe with the optic nerve, maybe with consciousness itself, maybe with new areas of the brain) and that the eyeball will move in a subtle way, elegant and natural way. Of course it will work best with relaxation! Now I understand even more why on your website you say about controlling certain eye muscles, it makes perfect sense. With the practice of "two become one" I can keep my vision sharp for as long as I intend to see clearly even at night time. Perhaps "two become one" is the simple way to explain the "central fixation" of the Bates method.
@MyopiaIsMental3 жыл бұрын
I love your analysis of vision improvement and you're thinking what I call "Beyond 20/20". I have to agree in the beginning we like to think of things as separate parts but they are all one. The more you think of it as one the more in sync things become. This is one reason I say both eyes together! My Sensei used to breakdown the steps of a punch as stance, hip twist/rotation, shoulder rotation, arm extension, fist tight & punch. Then later in training he would say the punch is one movement not the multiple steps. Yes, two become one but take it to the next level. We like to think of the body as being separate parts... I think you know where I'm going!

Hey Mark i need some help,i'm struggling with something.. I'm 13 and a half and i have blurry vision from far since my 9-10. I can't read the board at school, and i ONLY want to be able to read the board at school, nothing otherelse!! Maybe you'll wonder how i write without being able to see the board is, in elementary school, we didn't use digital boards actually and i see good from green boards with writtin in white but not from for example: written with red,yellow,green on a white or green board. I don't know how that works and i'm really confused, but that's not what i need help with. Now we gotta write so much from the board, but i can't read it, i act as like i'm looking at the board and writing but i actually am just writing randomly things like 'find the answers on this question online' ... I've been gone to an eye docter like 2-3 years ago but i don't know anymore how much my eye's were but it's legit unreadable even from the very front line at school.. My parents neither know i think, i'm scared of telling them i have blurry vision which i think they forgot or just don't care anymore which is by telling it's my fault, my parents will keep saying 'you can't see, you're blind' and all when talking about that sort of topic, i don't want it... So i think i got myopia by: 5 hours looking at phone a day while i was 10 years old, gaming for 10 hours a day (yes, i am an gamernerd, sorry... i feel so bad and not wanted to say that...), i don't go outside a lot expect riding bike to school and being at school ofcourse, so 'sunlight' might be it & i've always gamed at night without turning the lights on... I'm gonna try to make 2 index finger and turn my head by left and right thingy you had said in another video... I hope that'll work, but my blur is legally unreadable even from 1 meter, it's already started to get blurry. It's funny to think about a camera being more clear than my eyes haha Anyways what should i do? i need to get my eye's fixed ASAP', i also don't want glasses because it makes your eyes worse and i just dont feel wearing glasses, neither lenses or eye surgery.... I remember about ten years ago I was wanting to get lasik and the doctor told me that I should wait until I was finished with graduate school because of the all reading would likely make my eyes worse. I did not end up getting lasik. Do you think Is it that intense focus, like with reading music or books, that makes our eyes worse?
@MyopiaIsMental3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I found when I was intensely focused on one task like reading, working in front of a computer on spreadsheets, etc, I couldn't see anything beyond the thing I was looking at. You get into a tunnel vision state and lose all awareness of what going on around you. This leads to a lot of tension on the front of the eyes, making the muscle strain more. Over time I know my eyes got worse from doing this constantly. Since I've been more aware of my peripheral and surroundings, I can work for long period of time in front of a computer, without a break, and my vision actually improves. That's because I never let myself get sucked into tunnel vision on the one task in front of me. I make myself be aware of everything on the screen as well as around the screen. It's extremely hard to do at first because you're not used to seeing the world this way. but the more I made myself do it, the easier it got and the faster my vision improved. More information that you can feed your brain leads to your brain making better predictions of how the environment moves. Noticing everything and noticing movement lead to more relaxation. The more calm you remain the easier it is for your muscles to move with ease.

Just do add, i havent seen imrpovment in my diopter numbers yet, but my visiom gets shaper when i walk or move my head, and i sometimes get clear flashes (not 100% clear, but close). So i will see what happens after some more time. I recomnend you try and give it a few months

@@Little_Quince Thanks for sharing. I will give this a try definitely for vision. I was also simultaneously looking for exercises for lazy eye. Somehow it has become noticeable now but wasn't before when I was younger. :/

@@triptik8810 yes, no one noticed i had lazy eye when i was a child, so it happens. I think there are things you can try to fix lazy eye, you can find it online for sure, i think thats worth a try. Sign up for marks free guide on his website if you havent. Its really imporant and it will help you know how to apply all this, its his whole method basically, but summed up. Also you should have patience and put effort in this so you get results. And it may take more time, so dont give up quickly

Can you explain this state please? Mark said about this thing of seeing far but not close anymore in an interview he did here on youtube

@@venomsnake6412 focus all attention in the space between your eyebrows and point with the nose wherever you look but narrow your vision like in a tunnel vision state and squint a bit and use your but muscles , squeeze them at the same time so you protect from eye strains , and then relax but fall more onto the left heel , left hip bone ,like someone is pulling your belly button up and backwards ..

@@adriangpuiu Hey Adrian, looks like your recommendation about right shoulder at 2 and movement between 9 and 12 is largely used in restoring vision programs. For example, the guy from "See Clearly" channel here on KZbin does the same shoulders movement while he shows how he does find "Active Focus". Do you know exactly the mechanism for these movements work so great?

@@regishaiba i'm guessing because it put's in a perfect axial load, so youre actually straight, for people with glasses i am guessing its more of a neurological fear to step over that right leg, but maybe because of other compensatory muscle imbalance that wont let them do so, check also the archers , they also turn left and aim with the dominant eye, we all have a dominant eye
