By the time you’re an adult/erik’s age the roots of your wisdom teeth have developed and are very established so the actual "hole" that is left behind is much deeper than it is when you’re a teenager. When I got mine out my dentist explained to me that my recovery wouldn’t be too bad since my roots hadn’t grown in and the teeth were like 1/3 of the size they would be if I were to get them out as an adult. That’s part of the reason they encourage it when you’re a teenager!

Starbucks barista here! 👋 we’re doing the best we can, I promise. The wait times may be long because a lot of times we’re understaffed. Also, because of TikTok, drinks are now soooooo complicated with many steps. They take longer to make. I’m working my butt off and sweaty and exhausted by the end of my shifts. We aren’t given the staffing for the level of demands. If mobile order isn’t available, it’s probably because we don’t have enough people to have someone working the mobile order. As far as the beans, we don’t roast them ourselves we just get them delivered, so I can’t defend that lol

Just some insight on the Starbucks thing, Starbucks is extremely understaffed, over customizable, and over stressed. I worked there for two years and ended up having a full on breakdown from the stress we were put under. The mew customizations/ mobile orders takes so much and customers don’t understand how long that takes and how we only have 2ish machines for each station and HUNDREDS of drinks coming in constantly from three streams of tickets../ mobiles , drive thru, and cafe orders. Starbucks as a company needs to relax for sure because they overwork their employees so much, but get away with it because of the aesthetic, it’s like a cult lol. But the actual stores you’re visiting wish they could relax I can assure you!

I also hate the burnt taste of the coffee, so I started ordering my lattes as blonde roast instead, and it helped tremendously. It was so much fun and he loved it. ❤️ Simple 🎂 for my birthdays but with the theme or flavor of my choice when I was little. I always had birthday sleepover in my backyard in a tent or a roller skating party. Gosh I miss that simplicity. Hope you’re feeling better Erik. That shit is no joke. Had mine out at 23 and it was horrible. A very close second to having my tonsils out at 22. That wins bc I had to go to ER for help to stop vomiting. I got suppositories. 😖

Agree about Staryucks here on Big Island. We recently bought a Breville espresso maker so we can make our own at home, with great Kona coffee and save money. 😷😻

I live in Canada and I think it’s so weird that Erik chewed pills for sedation??? Almost everyone I know including me, had IV sedation! It seems like the pills take longer to leave your system and leaves you loopy for awhile, but IV sedation def wears off very quickly. I’m glad you are feeling better! 😊

i hate needles so i honestly would prefer the pills, i think It’s maybe for those who would freak out having an iv.

I had a (different but similar) oral surgery this week and this is so funny to watch while i am in bed recovering! I relate to how he was feeling and how my mom mustve felt picking me up lol

I live in a smaller town and the Starbucks is always empty because there's a dutch bros right across the road, and they don't sell burnt tasting coffee 😂

I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled out just with local injection. 🙈 This is how we roll here 😅😂 and then you go to work/school/about your day. Granted, not all 4 of them at once 😬😆

I'm a teen, I'm a few years older than 13 but when I was a kid I had so many huge themed birthday parties. One year I had a pink party, another was pirate-themed, and we even had a wizard of the oz-themed party with a yellow brick road from our driveway to our front door that rolled through the house. Me and my brother literally are like 10 days apart but with a two-year difference so my mom and dad who passed a few years back would mash up our bday parties together. It wasn't like an Instagramy thing with like the gold10 balloons with like pastel decor that is like perfect, it was just a fun 2000s kid party. However, my mom and dad were so cool they would literally clear out their room and put their bed and EVERYTHING into the garage and have the main room in our house and the bedroom as party rooms. They weren't rich or anything but they tried their best to pull money together to make it look like they had a lot. My mom would do DIY stuff and go to Walmart for decor. While my dad was also artsy so he would like burn edges of paper and stuff for our pirate bday. Me and my brother would make goodie bags and also help decorate too. It was big but I don't think it was instagramy even though it was pretty big because we invited both of our elementary school classes alongside our big family with a ton of cousins running around. We also had DJ who was a family friend, my dad's best friend who is like my uncle even came over one year to do these cool two pirate cakes for me and my brother. It was like two single-tier cakes and one was pink the other was red with black fondant skulls. We would use stuff from my room and my brother's room for decor. But it's not just a colleens family thing because my whole family is like that. Now I'm like eric and its chore but I also love themed bdays (Hopefully I can have a vaccinated masquerade bday or disco bday) I love the idea of asking for donations for bdays i wanna do that :)

Just so you know Colleen when I was 12 (im now 20) I watched a video of you doing scavenger hunts with your neices and nephews and I forced my poor grandmother to do a scavenger hunt for me and I got a bike 😂 most memorable Christmas ever so I totally agree ♥️

I got my wisdom teeth removed this Monday. GIRL my face is soooo swollen, such an uncomfortable feeling. In the Netherlands, we just get a local anesthetic, so you're fully awake. It was freaking terrifying. I have to do the other 2 in 8 weeks.. I'm dreading it so much. Taking all 4 out at the same time seems deadly??? Honestly, if it swells up like one side of my face right now? I would choke. (that's also the reason it's done in 2 times in the Netherlands.) America is crazyy

The jug milk at my local grocery store has the sealed twist off lid that is never easy to take off AND a pull tab underneath. It makes me rage. Lol.

Is it also the weirdly shaped gallon? Costco and Aldi have them and it makes it so much harder to unscrew the lid.

also the IV was the worst the nurse missed it the first and second time so until the third it was were it supposed to be then she lied to me saying the medicine would go in when the doctor came and he would do it and tell me to count down but I swear once she put the IV in I was on a liquid which I guess had medicine in it and when the surgeon came I was already seeing g blurry and he just said you should be passing out by now and yes indeed I was out the moment he said that everything went black but he did not put anything so I guess the medicine was already on when the nurse out on the IV
