I've listened to this song more than any other on the album, absolutely love the lyrics, and the part in which the song picks up really reminds me of a lot of the older & faster RK stuff I remember so fondly~ Great song =)

David Ingrassia if you seek backwards from track 1 it will seek to -1:09 and you can listen to it. most cd players should seek (rewind) backwards from track 1

Actually the orphan song was just a story that they made up for the song. Matt Thiessen was never an orphan.

I interpret it as a song about losing his mother. Stuff like buying a bouquet (for a grave?) and "It's not sad anymore" and finally "Nothing but the Sun in your eyes" makes me think this. And the past tense used in reference to his mother ("Thinking 'bout everything you did for me")
