Reacts to Joelma when he was a member of the band Calypso live in the Amazônia (Brazil) in 2004. And then he reacts to Joelma in his solo career live in the Amazônia in 2022 (Block 1 and Block 2). She is considered the greatest performer in Brazil, and one of the few who don't use playback, her face is swollen because she contracted Covid 4 times and her blood was clotting, but even so she managed to record this DVD, like almost 50 years. Her training was at the Rockacademie Tilburg. She is on record as saying that the vocal lessons there were not doing much for her, but she got to meet Edward Hoepelmans when he came for a guest lecture. EH is a vocal coach and a teacher at a "conservatorium" which is where you went for classical style singing. They hooked up in a vocal way and she took private lessons from him, next to her regular lessons at her school. Given how she sounded before this and after graduating it is clear that EH did not change her into any kind of a classical singer, which is not what she wanted anyway. She was in a progressive metal band called After Forever. She is also on record as saying she did a half year of opera and a half year of musical theater after graduation. So she has some classical and classically influenced training. Her claim to opera is unclear to me, since opera is full symphony orchestra and a voice without a microphone. There is also a classical singing style called "Lied" which also without a microphone, but in a room with just a piano or a small ensemble. Given that she has done Mio Babbino Caro by Puccini twice in just such a setting suggests to me she had extra classical training in the Lied style.

Yes, I am late to the party. But you might read it sometimes.... I suggest to listen to young Floors band ReVamp. They had more hard guitar riffs. The 2nd album (2013) is much harder, one song feat Devin Tounsend. Unfortunately there are not many good live recordings.
