Reliving My Youth - Visiting Bug Jam 32 VW Car Event 2018

The year was 1991 and I experienced my first ever VW festival called Bug Jam. Many many years later I discover it is still and thing so obviously I had to re-live my youth and visit Bug Jam 32.
Wow how things have changed, but that was mainly in the track and organisation. Back in the day it was rock up throw a tent down and party, now the camping is organised into almost little streets with white lines. We had no real provisions, except toilet blocks and food vans, if you wanted a was tough, but then I guess that is all part of the festival life.
It was great to see a new track and a bigger stand, this year (I only had this one to go by) all the attractions and action was in the pits side of the track, where as in the years I went it was mixed in with the camping.
The sights and sounds were very familiar, with the beetle drag racing and the 'run what ya brung'. It did seem more commercialised now, with lots more things on sale, from what I remember it seemed more hand made things back at Bug Jam 5.
Not going with a plan I only went for the day and I really feel I didn't get to really get into the whole atmosphere, so maybe next year I will go for the whole weekend, so I can experience more. Also having not been for a while I didn't make the most of being in the right places to photograph what I wanted.
My biggest amateur mistake was only having 1 battery for the Canon G7xII and filming too much at the start of the day, so missed a lot from 1pm onwards.

Enjoyed the video thanks for sharing. This brought back a few memories for me and time spent at Santa Pod when I lived n the UK. Great photos and look forward to seeing more in the future. Great to see you back enjoying being behind the lens. 👍👍👍

Thanks, yeah Santa Pod is a fun place to visit. Bug Jam is a great experience, I did go see top fuel drag cars once man that was loud. Haha it brought back a lot of memories for me too, 1991/1992 when I went there and it is funny how it has but hasn't changed if you know what I mean. Good times and hopefully many more. Thank you, I really struggled editing this as wasn't sure what to include or not, from what perspective I should talk it from and the music is always my biggest headache. As this is just a hobby doing these KZbin videos I haven't wanted to drop the money on payed sites, but it might have to be the way as it's the biggest thing I struggle with :/ Yeah Bug Jam was awesome and I will be there next year for sure 👍 Thanks for the positive feedback and the kind words on my images Hope all is good with you dude?
