The Wrath of Cortex was my first Crash game, and is my favorite game in the franchise. Yes, I prefer it over the original trilogy (and Twinsanity, which is considered by many to be better than TWoC). The soundtrack is stellar, the levels are great, and playing as Coco is a great switch-up. It’s a fun time from start to finish, in my opinion. Oh, and The Wrath of Cortex is still canon-it just takes place in another dimension, apparently. The upcoming Crash 4 involves tampering with the very fabric of space and time, and all Crash games are confirmed to have happened throughout different dimensions in the multiverse. Yeah...it’s kinda confusing.

People have the right to dislike this game, but I feel like more and more people just hate on it just because popular KZbinrs hate it because "huur duurr its not the original trilogy" or because "hurr durr it's crash 3 but worse" I actually love this game as much as I love every other Crash game. Crash feels fluid, albeit more floaty at moments, but it's only because the whiny fans are used to a more sturdy Crash. Seriously, it controls FINE. The vehicles are quite questionable, but the fact that you can play as Coco more than once is refreshing, and you get to experience variety in environements and gameplay (of course, it's all up to personal preference.) To me, this is a solid game: Challenging, fun, fresh, and epic. If you have a good reason to hate this game, that's fine! I'm only saying I don't like the people that hate on this game just because it's not made by Naughty Dog, or because they follow youtubers like Caddicarus. You have the right to be entitled to your own opinion! I just feel like this game is overhated and underappreciated.

Alright here's my defense for this game, There's not as much vehicle levels as people make it out to be, if not there's less. Just count how many bonus stages on levels from crash warped and woc there are and you'll see what I mean. While there might be too many types, I think WOC has much entertaining vehicles (other than a few shitty ones) than the previous games, and they shitty vehicles from WOC only happen like once or half the level. I'd much rather play the ball levels and mine carts than play that stiff ass bike and the slippery af controls that is Coco's jet ski 4 OR 5 TIMES! I also didn't like using the jet pack from crash 2 3 times other than the music being cool. also kinda prefer crash's floaty jumps than his heavy jumps. WOC also had a variety different environments in each levels while the previous games are usually reskins. And the music is a MASTERPIECE! Stock music my ass! The ONLY thing I can't defend are the monkey bars and the animations do look pretty lifeless :/.

TT didn't create the invisible powerup, that was a carryover from CTR, though it did get it's own box design (which is just the item icon from CTR slapped on a transparent crate model).

I've never played a Crash game beyond Warped. Except for like one race in CTR at my friend's house 12 years ago. I'm gonna break that curse with the new Crash 4.
