Totally interesting and unique one. I just realized that you aren't only a language teacher but also a language pathologist. You have deeper knowledge in this field which reflects in this video and I got the new ideas about learning process through this video. Thank you so much for this video ❤

Much like your knowledge and experience with neuroplasticity, I, too, have been interested in thinking of way to help people learn more efficiently. I believe that much of our time and resources that are devoted to schools is wasted with old-fashioned methods and teaching techniques. We are not getting our money's worth from our school system. At best, it is only a partial success. If I had infinite time, I would start organizing some controlled experiments of my own design to try to home in on the learning processes that work the best. But, alas, I do not have infinite time.

I couldn’t agree with you more Gregory! School often just felt like being at the babysitter’s for me.. have you read “Brain Rules” by John Medina? I don’t remember the details now, but they did describe some new ideas re: education, etc. Great book, I recommend it!

American Accent Mastery Yes! There is Neur which in Persian and Arabic also means light as a noun of course! Not the opposite of heavy😉 +p+my initials😬 My bio on Instagram for a while was “Neuroplasticity is my religion”.It might seem too dramatic , but I think every thing we want to do and learn and unlearn in life boils down to that, since I’m agnostic about other “powers”.

Oh my gosh, this is amazing!! I do agree- it’s the foundation for all learning!! It’s definitely not leveraged enough yet.. 🌺

Hi Victoria. I hope you are doing well. I've noticed, watching your video that it's much easier to remember the phrases and expressions you use, because they are important and interesting to me. It seems, when watching, I follow #1 to #3. In #4 I laughed a lot. I will remember forever "lazy person eating" ::)). Regarding #5, Anki is a very useful program for memorizing, but you have to get to now it a little bit to adapt it to your needs. Many thanks for a super interesting video!

It sounds very weird to me (as a non-native speaker) that a native speaker of English wouldn't know the word "meticulous" or would need to "study a bunch of vocabulary" (regarding the "GRE words").
@AmericanAccentMastery4 жыл бұрын
I’m actually not a native English speaker, and I didn’t grow up speaking English in the home, which may possibly be why I didn’t know the word “meticulous” when I started university. That being said, I find that my vocabulary continues to expand in English, and in my other languages, the more I read and engage with new subjects, organically over time:)

Or marry an English whiny wife, somone who repeats words over and over again. But be sure to divorce her after you learn English though.😁 Anyway, hope you're doing well Victoria.😊

you're an accent teacher who supposed to talk about pronunciation or a brain doctor or something... what are you talking about??? you know if someone watched your videos, it's your job to make sure they would learn something new after it. if you know something you know it works you use it to make a method to unlock the learning process and it may someday get famous under your name and label. Are you an English teacher or not?
