I remember cringing so hard when this drama came on that I hid in the bathroom at the assembly. I just told my parents I had explosive diarrhea when they got mad when they didn't find me at my seat.

This movie visually defines the meaning of a cult.
@ArizonaRed11 ай бұрын
I need to say that the Twin flame thing can be a gimmick or cult but for people who have experienced it, it's very real and such people need support. It doesn't transform you into a special angel or make life easier. You are still normal but you have a very strong bond with someone in spirit. I don't care who believes me but I think it's good to have compassion for them. It's certainly a unique and challenging experience. Its nice if it doesn't happen for the most part.

I can relate to the daughter just saying she really enjoyed that brother reading that one scripture during the talk because I wasn’t actually listening lol. Also oddly relate to the last part where the grandma and found the gay couple funny and the wife being weird about it.

I can't stand any of the characters in this culty soap opera except for "Joe." He is very likeable.

@@Nathan-jq1uwI agree with your opinion of the cult drama, and Randy was always such a sweet guy, I haven’t been in touch since he started at Bethel. It’s funny to see him as “hot tempered”. Lol

At first it was a little annoying that you stopped the video every 10 seconds, but then I started to listen to you. It was good that you broke the spell that the organization knows how to cast! TY

Great video Jake! I remember this movie 😬 I gotta stay up to date with these streams 😁 Edit: Jus thought I’d mention, if you haven’t noticed how stereotypical this organization is, when they talk about discrimination they use black males to give the talks, I encourage you to look into that, and with this video all about the wife and mother discussing being successful by having high paying jobs they use Asians. As you know they are obsessed with being successful. This organization really tries hard. It’s pathetic and racist.

Was just wondering if you guys have considered letting a video drama play, then doing the commentary on it? You bring up a lot of valid points, but there is no way I could share this with anyone because they won’t sit through two hours and fifteen minutes. That’s 3.5 times the length of the video which is stopped every few seconds. How can there possibly be over two minutes of things to say per 30 seconds of video you’re talking about? Lol

Or perhaps they can release a shorter version that only touches on certain scenes.

The area that Lot and his family were traveling through was,and is,a "salt flat." Even today,it has many "pillars of salt" standing around,some of which,look eerily similar to a human form.

Ok so super cringe mini story time, when I was a kid, my older cousins used to come down and spend the summer with us. They were only a grade ahead of me, so we were close and basically best friends. Well, because my family was in a cult, and they weren't, we dragged them to meetings every week. One of the meetings had a question and answer section about this drama. My parents wanted us to study for it, so I *made* them sit down and watch this shit with me. It was awful, we were bored as hell, and ended up watching this a week in advance so we didn't even study the right material. They didn't come back down for like two summers after that 😅

Their forever person exists but they aren't told that they likely aren't one of them. Case in point I met one and she was great in all aspects except when it came to the org it's just tainted her in the worst possible way. Her family also didn't live the simple life that's for sure.

Gloria has fear of poverty after watching her mom struggle and everything she is trying to say to her husband reflects this. Yet the husband fails to understand that his partner in marriage has unique THOUGHTS and EMOTIONS. The mom snapping at the daughter for trying to borrow her sister's shoes...like you guys need therapy not Jehovah!

Dad's all, "no my children being comfortable is NOT OKAY." Will he still say that when he is elderly and his kids can't support them? JWs have no idea what is coming to them when the Last Days don't happen. My own parents are an example of this. And don't wait for the congregation to care for you either. Maybe if you are sick but not after retirement. I would have looked at my Mom funny if she had said what their parent's job is. Um, nobody in our congregation is rich. The only time I saw rich people was when it was a more eligible bachelorette dressed to the nines. I don't get why they don't mention "service hours". That is what Mom would have said. How "faithful" is he?

The perfect imperfect organization. 🤪 Also Job was rich. BUT witnesses say it's not bad to be rich but publishers still condemn you not to pursue the world. It just is hypocritical 😢
@oliviaojpg11 ай бұрын
Also God let Satan kill 10 of Job’s children and destroy the man’s life just to win an argument with Satan over Job’s faith. Yeah… very loving. And JW’s would say “ oh but God replaced everything and Job was blessed after” You can never replace someone’s child yet they make it seem like you can for obvious reasons. Sick organization.

The past leaders of the Watchtower Corporation made doctrines to enhance the sales of literature plain simple, in doing so they made themselves into false prophet apostates, that the bible expressively warns about and says to not listen. 😳 Russell thought he could sell the silly theology of Pyramidology , this is where and when he started on about gentile times ending, Jesus returned invisibly and Armageddon was most likely to occur in 1914. When Russell died the guy who took over reused 1914 to make that the year Jesus had returned invisibly and that event also started the End Times . "This Generation "doctrine. False apostate teaching all over the place but were viably effective to lure people to literature and even make them into public sales representatives for this corrupt religious' publishing house. 😳

Tell you what Christians... I'll make an effort to "remember Lot's wife" when you can do 2 things.... 1) tell me what her name is, Lot's wife, that is 2) explain to me empirically how her death is anything more than a plot device to explain how biblical it is for a father to have sex with BOTH of his daughters (incest), or, to break it down even more - how all the evil poor innocent men fall into is due to bad women. 🙄
