There is a huge caveat on your lap time comparison with the previous pro, that one had Cup 2s ans not Rs, and the racetrack was damp, the original pro with cup 2Rs and a dry circuit will be under 7 minutes, so in reality there is a 10-15 seconds difference

It just seems Mercedes designers are cutting too many corners in the details. The face of the car has three different shades of black: carbon side flicks (with an out of proportion outside curve), gloss black spoiler, and mattish black grill. The back of the car has the carbon abruptly cut off by gloss black. The interior display is so large that you have to do gymnastics to turn the car on each and every time. I truly don’t understand the choices they’ve made. It’s too bad because it’s a beautiful car, but as it’s been said before, “the devil is in the details.”

It is far far from the previous generation gt-r ( not pro ) which was also daily. No dry sump, engine sitting on the fron axle....plus this one is a doughnut but looks like tiramisu.

This is a very nice car, but someone buying one of these could also order a new Porsche 911 turbo S with the lightweight package and its been clocked here in the USA going from 0 to 60MPH in 2.1 sec on normal pump 93 octane gas and a stock tune, so just imagine if it had full bolt on mods and ECu tuning on 110 octane race gas? even stock, the 911 turbo S lightweight is an order of magnitude faster than this car and handles better and is more reliable and has better build quality..
