Very nice. I'm so glad to see you orienting the comb properly; however, putting the comb in the cooler upside-down is likely to kill the developing queen cells- or so I've been told, (I do so many Africanized cut-outs that are simply exterminations, *sigh). Nice technique bringing the small foundation as a pattern for you comb. Interesting choice of a Layans hive to place them in. God bless you too!

I enjoy watching you putting the comb on the frames after the removal job. I like Joey's rubber band method. seems so much more effecient. I realize you can't do that with this type of hive. Good enjoyable vid. Thanks.
@JeffHorchoff6 ай бұрын
I have to say, the method I use to put the comb in the frames is the best way I have use so far, simple and fast...and the bees seem to like it as well. You will be seeing a bit more of that method in the next few videos. Thanks for watching. God's peace Ellen. Mr. Ed

Delighted to share our wholesome, family videos with you and your sons, thank you so much for introducing them to the world of bees. Who knows, they may become future beekeepers themselves, and I always say the world needs as many beekeepers as it can get. If you guys every get to Louisiana, I certainly hope you will make it down to the abbey, I'd love to meet all of you. Thank you for your blessings and for watching. Until the next time, God's peace brother. Mr. Ed

Jeff, you used to dip your frames to clean them , do you still do that, what do you think k about steaming your boxes and frames via steam machine? Or squeezing out wax and water. I have been watching how other countries bee keepers different ways of rendering the wax, and the Canadian bee guy way of getting more yield of honey and more return of wax, plz what's your thoughts, I enjoy your opinions, you have guided my boy in more ways than one in this way of life you and he has chosen

I still am trying to get a steam cleaner strong enough to clean the frames with, I really think that is the way to go. However, until that day comes, I will continue dipping them into boiling water as that is the best way I have found so far. It's an honor for me to hear I have inspired your son, I hope to continue to do so. Thanks for watching. God's peace Kelly. Mr. Ed
