Oh, yeah. Big difference, and beautiful. I am graying, have incrementally lightened my brown hair, using a dark blonde hair dye. Decided to try another hair dye, dark blonde and it turned my hair black. I'm off to the store for some Dawn! Thank you for being my guinea pig, sweet girl.

You can mix shampoo (even with softening shampoo) and vitamin C. You should wait 25 minutes to 40 minutes. This will do to same without drying this much. I tryed it and it worked.

Jill Evans my hair was naturally blonde no highlights before I dyed it brown. I did this treatment 3 times about once a week with conditioning treatments to not dry it out too much. It’s definitely a gradual process

This will wash out the toner, but it won’t wash out the ginger color your hair turned from the box dye because the ginger color is likely due to the lightening agent in the box dye and not the color deposit. The only way I got rid of the ginger was bleaching my hair again, but depositing a darker color on it would also work!

Mix 15 or so vitamin c tablets with the dish liquid, massage well into hair, add more dish liquid not water to help cover the hair and wrap head tightly with glad wrap. Wash out after 1.5hrs. Condition well. Works for me every time even dark red semi permanent.

It won’t permanently affect the curl pattern of your hair, it might leave it a little dry right after which could make it a bit frizzy so I would use a deep conditioner after!

The whole point is that it is an anti dandruff shampoo bc they are clarifying and strip your hair of literally everything but if u have a strong dish soap it will work with the 3 in 1 but less, you’ll have to do it more often

yogalin2000 it does dry out your hair a bit, so I just use a conditioning treatment after or lather up on regular conditioner and that helps a lot. I wouldn’t do it more than twice a week!

@@avielle Yup it does, on dark colors I mix lemon juice with Dawn dish soap I got permanent dark dyes lightened black went to medium brown. It may take 3 times on darker colors but it really gets results just oil your scalp a bit after Lemon and baking soda act as gentle bleaching agents without affecting natural hair color. I noticed after using lemon my curls were way better than usual

This was forever ago but gosh your hair is a beautiful color afterward. All that said to really get hair dye out vitamin C, Dawn and BAKING SODA lather /scrub that in WELL from roots to tip no need for head and shoulders and you might need to do it a couple of times. It will in fact strip the color right out. Also wait as least a 1/2 hour head covered not 15-20 minutes rinse with as hot of water on your head can stand not lukewarm really scrubbing the mixture as you do. Afterward a good conditioning mask should be used your hair as it will be like straw later if you do not BUT the color will be mostly gone. ASK me how I know lol.

Unfortunately that is actually what I did and it never fully faded out. It faded into an orange strawberry blonde. I liked the color a lot but I did end up having to bleach my hair back to blonde

Remedies I’ve Tried: 1)Baking Soda Mixed With Dandruff Shampoo- I washed my hair 4 times with this. My hair was very crunchy afterwards. A couple of spots looked a tiny dab lighter, but 99% of my hair was still dark. 2)Dawn Liquid Dish Soap- Made no difference in hair color. 3)Baking Soda Mixed With Hydrogen Peroxide- This was the messiest. Made no difference in hair color. Also made my hair very crunchy.
