I echo the comments of the many new weavers who proclaim that your videos are far and away the best around! Your teaching is clear and concise. You offer great, helpful tips. You are also a wonderfully endearing person and a joy to spend time with. I couldn’t weave without you, Leo. I wouldn’t even want to try. I live in the center of the U.S.A. I hope someday to be able to visit your lovely shop in Nova Scotia. Until that day comes, please know of my very heartfelt thanks!

Thank you so much for your videos. I took delivery of my 18inch heddle loom about a week ago. A birthday gift from my family and my Coronavirus ‘lockdown’ project! I found your videos the best to follow and love the little extra bits of info. Please do more. Looking forward to hemming edge one. Would like to know how to change yarns during weaving as well. Thanks again. Have been to Fisherman’s Cove many years ago, probably long before you started weaving! Live in the UK now. Thanks again.

I watched the end of this video after watching a knitting video on acrylic yarn. From what I learned in that video, warm water wouldn't get acrylic yarn hot enough to set it. For blocking knitted acrylic pieces, steam is needed. The steam melts the acrylic slightly, and it sets when it cools. But it has to be blocked in the desired shape on the first try. Once it cools and sets, that's it. I'm looking forward to your future videos. I acquired a Kromski Harp Forte 32" rigid heddle loom a while back. I put an initial warp on it, did a little practice weaving, then got sidetracked on other hobbies. KZbin keeps trying to find more hobbies for me than I could possibly have time for. I tend to cycle through them, focusing on one or two at a time. I've cycled back around to weaving and kitting at the moment.

I was wondering if you could walk us through the planning process of a project. For example, if you wanted to make a scarf with 2 colors with a pattern of some kind, how would you calculate and plan, etc. Is there a method to it? Do you keep a chart or a list to keep things organized? Thank you so much for these videos. I don't have a loom yet because I can't afford it right now but I am very excited about trying it and your videos are a delight. =)

If the project is made from natural fibres ,like wool, I will do a wet finish and then trim them off. For synthetic fibres, I just trim them off once the project is off the loom. ☺️
