Great upload. Luckily to get a go in one. Always admired Renault Sport for producing these R models, pure drivers hatchbacks, and far more exciting than just sticking a more powerful engine in one as you say! As a driver in my 40s I'd still prefer one of these than a golf R or similar, still young at heart lol. Keep up the good vids.

Golf r is pretty boring in comparison to the Trophy R, I remember doing a track day with a mate in his , I was in my R26.R, the golf couldn’t get anywhere near the Renault, Trophy R and the R26.R are both fantastic cars and both offer the same amount of fun but the Trophy R is faster everywhere.

I had the 275 Trophy R (one before this) and it was a brilliant car. So alive.

@@Roginator007 cheers mate, I met Rich a couple of years ago, took him out in the R26.R at Anglesey, he’s a great guy and a true enthusiast so was nice to hand him the keys

@@Roginator007 Both staying and both as much fun as each other but the trophy R is much faster, it’s also amazing from getting to and from track, so great on the road, I’m at Donington on Wednesday track day for the day
