When i hear the "DC fanboys" say that Wonder Woman is not good but Batman v Superman was amazing, i do not see them as DC fans: the DCEU originally was taking notes from New 52, which was meant to be a reboot to DC comics, but they didn't go all the way with it, especially when you realize Batman already had all of his Robins. Dick Grayson had been Robin and was now Nightwing, Jason Todd had been Robin and was now Red Hood, Tim Drake had been Robin and was now Red Robin, and now there was Damian Wayne, all of which apparently happened in the span of 5 years. Also in terms of tone, they turned the entire DC universe darker and not that pleasent. A lot of the heroes became jerks, especially Superman, who is supposed to be boy-scout and hopeful, but instead he was selfish and jerk. Basically they turned the entire DC universe into Batman by the tone. New 52's sales also dropped because of all the changes that happened in the comics. DC Rebirth went back to what fans loved about DC. the "DC fanboys" who all the time say that Batman v Superman was amazing and Wonder Woman is bad aren't the fans of the series at all, they just think DC is entirely dark and not fun, only Batman is the dark side within DC when you look at the core Justice League members, and not even that much. And i don't want to hear people calling me Marvel fanboy and DC hater because i say Man of Steel, BVS and Suicide Squad are bad, because i grew with DC more than with Marvel, and i love these heroes, their supporting cast and their villains

How the fuck is Man of Steel bad? It's the most comic book accurate movie so far. What's your problem? Superman killing Zod? He had no choice, Zod was going to kill a family and Clark had to kill him. Even if he found a way to stop him without killing him, what's he going to do? Lock him up? Where!? Or is it because he "killed a bunch of civilians through the buildings? Those were evacuated. And people bitch and moan about Superman not leading Zod out of Metropolis. What the fuck would he do? Fly away from the city and say "Hey Zod, look at me! Away from the city so you can't fulfill your plan!" Plus, this is an untrained Superman. He legitimately just learned to fly not even an hour before fighting Sod. Hokusai after over 20 years of experience still fucks up more than Superman did in BvS. Overall, Man of Steel is great if you want true Superman. And not overly cheesy happy man.

Slade Wilson the Mercenary Being comic book accurate doesn't make a comic film good what if they are 100% accurate to a terrible story? Doesn't mean nothing being comic accurate I found the movie just boring aside from Zod and that was Shannons performance I always get sleepy when he isn't on the screen. Loved him snapping his neck actually though "no choice" really isn't accurate you're damn near a God you have tons of powers including ice breath js 0 choice isn't really true.

Absolutely agree with Critic on the No Man’s Land scene. This is how you do a strong female lead. They didn’t make her crossing like a cake walk and they didn’t make her invincible either. But what they showed was her courage and her determination to help those who needed it. It even got to the point that her courage got her temporarily pinned down but then she is helped out by Taylor and the other soldiers. She didn’t go into No Man’s Land because she thought she could easily take them on, she went out there because she was brave enough to do it while everyone around her is saying ‘it’s impossible’.

unless they do a Batman Beyond, or a batman movie set far in the future, Kevin could never play Batman, he's far too old to handle the physical requirements the part needs, not to mention all the time spent in costume and makeup just getting ready. As for Marvel and Star Wars, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain america are still very relevant, and the original SW trilogy still talked about to this day. Everything has it's time to die, but these wont be going anywhere for a while.

It’s got a lot against it. Not only is it building off of the not great BvS, but due to unfortunate circumstances, the director had to be changed midway through, which never helps a movie.

I watch and have listened to what you had to say, even at the end. And, I am one of the weirdos that actually enjoy all the DCEU movies so far, for different reasons with some of them, and some I go more for the visual quality than the actual plot. But, like them all so far, favorite is Wonder Woman, hoping Justice League will be great, and, I do understand why a lot of people don't like some of the DC movies, cause, yeah, there are som big flaws to be found. Here's to hoping for more great movies in general, DC included.

I am mainly a Marvel Fan but I did love watching some of the animated shows of DC. And this movie has helped to like them again, but how the DCEU is going, is a concern. The movie was good but, will that be the same with Justice League?

Personally, I liked the Ares twist being that he wasn't a stereotypical buff dude. While the CGI of Remus Lupin with a buff body was a bit much (they probably should've used a different actor for that), I liked how he was more of an influence than a manipulator, and his appearance subverted expectations just like how Diana subverted the expectations the men she was fighting with had of her. There's more to war than just guns (both in terms of firearms _and_ muscles) after all, such as strategy, and people who wear glasses are often stereotyped themselves as smart, thus relating to strategy, so to me at the very least, it doesn't feel that forced that Morgan turned out to be Ares. His disguise *is* related to war, just not the part we immediately think about when hearing the word itself, so it's pretty ingenious to take that angle of approach.

thebeav PercabethFTW one thing I would like to say even if you’ll never read this. First, I haven’t read the Lightning Thief in a while so I can’t really remember how Ares was portrayed well. But if I remember, Ares wasn’t portrayed as a “muscle-headed idiot”. Sure he was a little slow. But he was shown to be competent enough. He was shown to be easily manipulated sure. But not an idiot. I haven’t read the Lightning Thief in a while so I’m not sure on that. Next, if he was portrayed like that, then that’s mostly on the Greeks. Rick has shown to be very true to the Greek myths. If something is different from what you learned, then it’s probably a different version of the myth. Greeks were a very male dominated culture. And they thought of war as just charging in and killing people. Sure strategists existed, but it was a very run in and kill culture. At least from what I remember when studying it. It’s been years. If any history buffs want to correct me please do. The Greeks visualized Ares like that. Run in and kill. Athena came later and she was more of a strategist. You’ll probably never read this comment. But I did want to correct that.
