Thank you for this. I've been out of veterinary school for 3 years now, and this is the first time I've really had a grip on the JG apparatus. (I probably thought I did when I was in school...)

are the JG cells the only place in the body that renin is synthesized and released? also- just had the insight of how ACE inhibitors work- never knew the pathophys of that before! all these years of giving the med and didnt really understand how it was working in the body. Cool!!

I like the black background better. The white background is to bright on the eyes. All that said no matter what color you go with I will still watch your videos because they help me understand the material a lot better than my books do!

None of my textbooks (or wikepedia) mention the conversion from ANGII to ANGIII... why is this? Is ANGIII just considered as ANGIII by others? TY for the videos - my exams in molecular physiology is tomorrow - wish me luck!

Thanks for sharing this video.Regarding the back ground,I think black back ground coz in white back ground, I need to open my eyes bigger coz sometimes it's not that too clear when writing with light colors and also it's kinda bright (just my opinion). But either way, I like all your videos. I've been a fan of it. It helps me know those things that my instructors before in my old school wasn't able to really explain it well, and now, I understand it more than I used to before. Thank you Andrew!

I'm really thankful, I'm a med student and sometimes it's a little complicated to understand this kind of concepts, more because there are no videos as well as explained as yours and it helps me to understand more english. Greetings from Mexico

Mr. Wolf, this is a great video, thank you for your time and efforts to make it so good. @ 11.52 you would have meant it to be AC enzyme and not inhibitors. Can you please comment on that.

Hello... Great Videos. I was just wondering, how does renin affect GFR alone? If GFR decreases does that mean Na+ reabsorption will increase causing Macula Densa to sense this change and release renin? If so wouldn't release of ADH and Aldosterone contradict these effects .i.e. cause further Na+ reabsorption? BTW love the black background

I stumbled across your video searching for a audio/visual explanation of the RAA System, I am a nursing major and this was helpful. A little too much info for me, but it refreshed my memory. I am hoping that you will have other videos to help me through my other classes. Thank you for your effort and you have a comforting voice, important for me in learning.

Thanks, extremely helpful. When I imagine or remember something, the surrounding world is always black (I'm sure most people are like that), so things presented on a black background are better able to fit into my memory without my having to consciously alter or change anything about them.

I'm watching from a tablet now and it's really the same somehow. What I mean is That on a blackboard is easyer to see lighter colors but harder to follow thin lines of darker colors (like dark blue for example), while on a whiteboard I can clearly see dark colors but it's hard to follow thin lines of lighter colors. So I'm guessing if the lines of the colors would be thicker there would be no further problem with distinguishing colors.Although I prefer dark background because the white is too bright and my eyes start watering after more than an H of watching videos. Other than that I love your videos!! You are a great professor !
