0:01 This is Boss Room of Rennala. Main Boss of Raya Lucaria. 0:06 And it's filled to the brim with those creepy students. They are Rennala students that were reborn by her (she is basically a fetishist when it comes to pregnancy). As you can tell these students are pretty stable and there is nothing wrong with them. 0:10 There are A LOT of those. 0:12 And the one that sings is the one you need to kill. 1st phase basically has you killing 3 singing ones to damage main boss. Speaking of which. 0:16 This is Rennala. Queen of Full Moon and late wife of Radagon. She is of Carian family which became royalty because of her. She was once a brilliant mage who became top of the Raya Lucaria Academy and she lead her Carian Knights to fight against Golden Order because of Carian's connection to Lost Cities which were against it. Rennala one day fought against Radagon and two fell in love one the battlefield and their love created peace between Carians and Golden Order... At least that's what it looked like. Until Radagon left Rennala with the egg she holds here which may have made Rennala into what she is now. Radagon left her for Marika after Godfrey was banished from Lands Between. Her 3 children became part of Marika's family because of that and Rennala was essentially left mindbroken and alone which basically made Carians a non threat anymore to Greater Will and Golden Order putting into question if Radagon's "love" was love at all and not just a brilliant manipulation given that Radagon absolutely despises anything that is not of Golden Order like his Red Hair which are connected to another thing that is against Golden Order. In other words Radagon is a piece of shit and I may be wrong about that, but from everything I saw in the lore it all points towards this conclusion. 0:18 Back to the fight. You need to kill 3 singing students which may be hard to figure out for first time players. 0:21 This summon I believe is one of the bull people from Siofra River. A location we will see later maybe. 0:30 Some jolly cooperation in this school shooting. 0:34 Still didn't figure it out I guess. 0:41 Singing students attack you by throwing books and furniture at you. Quite annoying. 0:44 Rennala on the other hand throws chandelier at you. That one hurts. 0:46 Once you kill enough singing ones Rennala falls to the ground and you can hit her. 0:51 Yeah... annoying lock on system. 0:58 You hit her enough and 2nd phase starts (you may need to repeat school shooting 2-3 times to do that though without a good weapon). 2nd phase takes place in a illusion and the Rennala you fight there is an illusion as well created by Lunar Princess Ranni. Daughter of Rennala and Radagon and the only child we know kept in contact with her and was very close to her which may be partially because of Ranni and Rennala's connection to the Moon which may be another Outer God in Elden Ring. Ranni creates this illusion to protect her mother from you and show you who she used to be before Radagon. Further showing the tragedy of Rennala and how broken she is now. 1:01 The fight's setting is quite beautiful 1:04 And Queen starts it by using Kamehameha 1:06 Yeah... You have to repeat 1st phase too... And there is no stake of Marika outside of her boss room... or actually good shortcut. Quite annoying. Wait no... REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING!!!! 1:08 Thankfully DBZ reference is quite easy to dodge. 1:12 Which can't be said about the fucking dragon she can summon at half health (it may also be a giant or wolves). Good luck. 1:18 I feel you Carbot... Forgetting to put the elevator down... It's a pain. 1:20 I guess enough is enough and it's time for more jolly school shooting cooperation 1:26 This weapon is fun... and brutal. You can find it in Volcano Manor later in the game after you are invaded there. This weapon is used by Rykards inquisitors and yes... Rykard is her son and a weapon of his is used on his mom... It's a fun irony. 1:28 This weapon is also in Bloodborne and it looks and feels very gruesome. 1:30 TFW you see a principal turned into a pizza. 1:35 Wholesome 1:38 And yeah... Rennala is sad... REALLY sad character. After this fight she can also respec you if you have a special item you can find around the world. It's called Larval Tear and as you may guess it's dropped by living Indiana Jones balls. Obviously. 1:43 Also Rennala is high as fuck. She is stoned out of her mind after this fight.

SPOILER: The question is how much is there a difference between Marika and Radagon at some point in time. Because I would argue that Marika is the even greater bitch than Radagon is an ass. She split up Radagon and Renala, she let Godwin kill, she betrayed Godfrey, the Golden Order and the greater Will. She enslaved Hugh and made Malekith her puppet. She poisend the Erdtree and created in that the undead. And the Player is just her pawn. She is one of the most evil characters in Elden Ring.

Yes she banished Godfrey, but when it comes to her it felt more like a plan to overthrow Golden Order so she and Godfrey could be together since she never stopped calling Godfrey her lord which is very contrasted by Radagon who she called a DOG of Golden Order. And it is unlikely that she wanted Godwyn dead because remember, when Ranni speaks in cinematic trailer she says that Marika was broken up about his death and remember that Ranni is the one that arranged Godwyn's demise to free herself. It most likely worked like that. Godfrey is made Elden Lord to beat great enemies of Greater Will, Marika at some point actually starts to feel something for him and she starts becoming more rebelious, at the same time another part of her, Radagon is send out to deal with Carians and he does that by marrying Rennala and bringing them into the fold. Then Greater Will tells Marika to banish Godfrey once he is no longer useful, but she tells him and his people that she will bring them back to brandish the Elden Ring. On the other hand Radagon with no hesitation nor remorse leaves Rennala to marry Marika which again most likely was plan of Greater Will, make the Elden Lord and the one to keep an eye out on Marika the most loyal person they have who is also another part of Marika which would also create more Empyreans for Greater Will to use. Greater Will with this scheme basically secured themselves from all fronts, but Marika had her plan, but death of Godwyn most likely threw her into disarray and when she smashed Elden Ring she was captured and then Radagon rebuild Elden Ring and made Marika a part of it, forever trapping her with no hope of being free. I think Radagon in this case still feels like a greater bitch.

Yeah, that's the Ancestral Follower summon you get from beating the first Ancestor Spirit boss in Siofra River after lighting the pillars. Not sure what the Regal version of the same boss drops (nowhere near that fight, I think). He's one of my favorite summons thanks to how he tanks damage and uses both ranged and melee attacks. He and Aurelia the jellyfish are my 2 go-to spirit summons at the moment; skeletal militiamen are good against smaller enemies that might not hit them at the right time to prevent them from standing back up.

It's a great idea to do with elevators in every dungeon, tbf. Either you die and it'll be quicker to come back again, or you finish off the boss and you can just use the 'return to the entrance' teleporter and you won't need to use them anyway.

Like to the point where in my head I'm seeing the game in Carbot's animation style. It's to the point where the jokes even branch out beyond their games. Like I'll be playing FFXIV and ready to do a Raid fight when the party leader starts a countdown. Every time that happens I picture Carbot's version of Asmongold saying "Are you ready to see the truth?! Are you ready to see reality?! Are you ready to see what happens?! TAKE IT HOME, BOYS!" from the Fel Reaver episode complete with the uncontrollable eyebrows and everything. I had to explain this to my Discord party as being the reason I start snickering to myself every time a boss countdown starts. xD
