This is a 1 out of 5 on difficulty to install? With the risk of breaking an expensive trim piece or scratching your screen, I gotta say it feels like it should be rated differently than the lowest possible rating. That being said could we get an extended or secondary view of the phone on the mount? It looks like even the Pro (smaller iphone) is a bit limited by the dash design in terms of angle, etc. Would be nice if we could see it from the drivers seat, and maybe even have an iPhone Plus or large Droid put on the mount. I think I could be ok with $60 for a mount, but I definitely need a little more comfort with my understanding of the finished product. Thanks so much!

I just ordered one…looking forward to it. Yeah it’s a bit pricey…but buy once cry once! Looks clean and sturdy. The vents in the mk8 are very flimsy. Broke one trying to push on a vent clip mount. Had to replace the entire vent dash. Not making that mistake again. This looks like it’ll last the life of the vehicle.

If the iPhone has a magnetic back. It would good to see it in action driving on different terrain.

Messed up my plastics on this install, really badly... $100 phone mount + $750 in new trim... Absolutely NOT a 1/5 on the difficulty... Pissed right off on this one guys...

Nah, I’ll pass. Wayyy too much work and risk just to mount a phone.
