Remember when Chris wasn't keen on talking on camera? Now I reckon he could do an Open University programme or Ted Talk on fixing cars. The man's a genius.

Total agree on both comments, Chis is a genius and was super quiet on camera now he’s chatting away, as For Rob he’s juggling the balls and still gets stuck in what a team, the dynamic duo😂 love it my favourite channel ❤

was just watching Mark McCann video around insurance and why the insistence on only new parts by insurance repairs is driving the rising costs - my old car cost £7k to fix through the insurance, when a bumper in colour was £150 from ebay yet they aren't allowed to use it, madness and great to see you guys doing this the most ecologically sound way, repair & recycle - the rest of the markets gone mad!

I served my time in the oil rig construction industry and we were told that in the late 70s early 80s glue had been developed that would have made the rigs used in the North Sea stronger than the welds used, but the oil companies wouldn’t allow it’s use incase nobody would work on them 🏴👍🏻

I love doing those works. It's the best feeling when you stand back and take a look at the finished work. The best part is when the painter asks where the damage is. As usual a damned good job. Chris never take the short way with this. My old teacher always told us, that the devil is in the detail, and that we should remember this all the way. It pays of. You won't be able to see a thing when this car is painted. It will be lovely and clear for a new owner.

Fixing damaged cars like that is a true art, especially keeping it structurally sound in case it gets into another accident. I could never do it.

With surgical precision you have fitted a replacement quarter panel. (an understatement). Totally amazing an absolute pleasure/eduction to watch. Chris you are a genius, very well explained you make a major repair look relatively easy. Not so, this is a repair worthy of a top notch body shop. Perhaps you could pass on your experience/expertise to an a keen apprentice.Excellent.

Fantastic job as always guys. The foam within the voids helps to stop exhaust fumes from entering the car. There is an area of depression behind a moving car, the exhaust gases swirl about at a given speed & can enter the car. In the old days when cars were far more smelly it was a block of foam. As an apprentice I once spent a day crawling about in a moving Escort MK111 van trying to discover why exhaust fumes were filling the car after a body repair. The body shop had removed the foam to stop it catching fire when they welded it up!

With modern welding robots you find that the spot welds line up. I removed a n/s rear wing from a scrap Nissan 300zx and fitted it to mine and the holes I'd drilled through all the spot welds lined up perfectly. The cars weren't the same year but they were both JDM. Just shows you how good Japanese build quality actually is.
