This video helped me out big time. I watched this video before I did my clutch on my 04 Tl and it helped me out a lot, I used the same technique and ran into a few minor speed bumps but got it done. Thank you.

Happy to hear that the video helped you out! What kind of issues did you run into and how did you resolve them?

How in the world did you support that engine just one Jack? My 2011 TL has a 3.7 and AWD. I'm stuck.
@MtGarage5 жыл бұрын
@@supersabrosinho ya that's a big motor, you may need to build a mount out of wood or something. I got lucky and it worked good for me.

Alrighty I gottah ask, how the hell did you move the subframe out? lol
@shootr0410 ай бұрын
I second this. With the big jack stand in the middle of the subframe, how did you slide the subframe out? I’m literally about to lower the subframe on my 6-speed Accord and scratching my head on that part. I have an engine support brace on top but it’s not mounted in a way where I fully trust it, so I’d prefer to support the engine from underneath as well. Thanks in advance!

@@shootr04 soo the way I ended up doing it... I wrapped a tow strap around my engine and tied it off to the rafters in my garage until I could get the subframe out, then put a stand under the engine again (I think... it has been 3 years lol)

Should be out late next week, the car is still up on jackstands

What did you do to get the subframe out from underneath?
@MtGarage4 жыл бұрын
I had to support the motor elsewhere so i could move that jack out from the center, then I could move the subframe out. It was tricky but it worked

If you put some weight pushing up on the control arm with a jack the ball joint won’t spin. I learned that trick at the dealership

How did you got the subframe out? Because you had the jack stand supporting the engine.
@MtGarage4 ай бұрын
I moved the subframe out as much as possible, then put a jack under the motor to lift it slightly, removed the jack stand, then slid the subframe out past where the jack stand was and put the stand back in and lowered the jack. It was a bit tedious but it worked

I’m right in the middle of doing the transmission ,clutch and flywheel on my 06 accord v6 6mt which looks identical. It is a total pita.

I believe they're very similar. Ya they're a ton of work, but once i was done i was very happy with the amount of $$ that i saved doing it myself!

Mt Garage I am replacing all 8 mounts. I already installed the rear main. New flywheel and clutch. I have a rv6 j-pipe on the way and 17 pound motegi Traklite 17x7 wheels. I plan on perelli cinturato 225/50-17 tires. . Hopefully that will get me .3 sec in the 1/4 mile. What is your honest opinion? Factory wheels weigh 25lb each and the j-pipe is allegedly good for 15hp
