I would argue that the 4th Raikage is fucking stupid and DELIBERATELY sacrificed his arm for no apparent reason. He chose to lose his arm and was ready to sacrifice his leg. Him doing this makes me question how he was able to survive that long as a Shinobi this long, especially going up against Minato and stalemating several times. And I'm just not putting Sasuke at that point above Jonin Minato. Plus, he used a mid ranged lighting jutsu in the war arc and was able to pierce Madara's Susanno. And we never EVER see him do something like that without Ohnoki to begin with. And the vector of impact didnt really look like lightning or even lightning-adjacent to begin with, in the manga; it looked more like 8th Gate Guy's Sekizo(which is a condensed Shockwave). In fact, in the manga we literally see Ay's fist be inches away from Madara's susanoo ribcage before the punch connected, so it genuinely couldn't have even been a 'long-ranged Jutsu' to begin with. I never implied that FKS Sasuke was above Jonin Minato(overall) to begin with, no reason to reiterate my point. Especially since Jonin Ay himself wasn't above Jonin Minato. Also being a Kage imo isnt really a good indicator of intelligence, I feel like quite a few Kages throughout Naruto make really stupid decisions. And personally I can see a grieving brother(who loved his brother dearly), make extremely irrational decisions like that, but I can also understand if you can't(after all it was still really damn stupid). Sasuke's general goal wasn't just to kill the Raikage, but more or less get past him to get to Danzo... He reacted to and dodged KCM1 Naruto multiple times, even when he used the chakra arms which caught and near 1 shot Mu, so it's not that crazy to think he could also dodge Amaterasu. Amaterasu is also the only attack that Sasuke has to damage him as his Chidori barely went knuckle deep in 4th's chest and 3rd is stated to be significantly more durable. Calling the 2 jutsus relative equals is very disingenuous considering that the Hell Stab is confirmed to be superiors to 8 Tails Bijuu Bomb in AP. 8 Tails can tank it's Bijuu Bombs relatively fine, but the Hell Stab was stated by Gyuki to have cut off all his tails. Sasuke is able to do something similar with a Chidori Spear, but Bee is burning alive at the time and uses that as an opportunity to escape so it's questionable if Sasuke could do that normally. We can debate Sasuke's Armored Susanoo vs Gyuki in durability, but the ribcage and skeleton aren't worth talking about and they massively drain Sasuke. Meanwhile we have 4th fighting Madara's wood clones for a significant length of time and 3rd fighting for 3 days. Sasuke lasted less than 30 minutes, maybe far less than that, between activating the ribcage the first time and running out of chakra against Mei and having to get refueled by Zetsu. I don't see why 3rd wouldn't be able to stall him out that long especially considering that Rasa would soon show up. I also feel like it would be massively out of character for Tobirama no to just pull up during that time and sneak Sasuke, but the scenario is the scenario so whatever.

I feel Tsunade would be a better replacement for Danzō. The Mangekyō seems especially good at translating hatred into power as noted in Sha no Sho and other sources, Kido also notes bringing Sasuke to despair would improve the quality of his eyes (and likely his overall power), though the Mangekyō itself does not seem to be a power amplification in it of itself (since the boost is to base). The easiest way to visualize chakra is that Naruto and Sasuke have the same amount of power, give or take, but different amounts of chakra. Ergo, per "unit", Sasuke's has to be stronger/superior to make up the difference. Possible that Sasuke would have died even if Yondaime also would have been engulfed. If the Rasenshuriken is said to inflict minimal damage it is questionable if the Chidori would do any better. Rasa has access to Water Release which could pierce Gaara's sand which might have superior durability to Sasuke's Susanoo by this point (he only stopped using it since Gold Dust was more efficient), according to Gaara Hiden. Sandaime Raikage directly notes he pulls Gold Dust from the ground. He also was constantly using Gold Dust to make up for Suna's failing economy, so it is not as if he would not have it around in some form. Mei might have stacked Lava Release and Boil Release if the battled continued which may have overwhelmed the Susanoo. Alternatively, her Water Release might have been able to push Sasuke back.

@@Virhtue I know this is going to be long so you probably won't read it but here goes anyway (I'm gonna disprove some of your points while also making points as to why the 3rd is stronger): Could you tell me where you get the idea that the 4th Raikage is stronger than Killer Bee? All we know is that he was afraid of Ay (in comedic relief moments) but that doesn't mean Ay's stronger. It was similar to how Naruto was afraid of Sakura or Hashirama was afraid of Tobirama, in both cases they were stronger but due to the dynamic of their relationship they acted like pushovers. As for the statements, Killer Bee was said to be weaker back when he was still a kid but the one time we saw them "kinda" fight as adults, base Killer Bee beat Ay in a clash of lariats so this entire point just doesn't make sense. Another thing is exiting the cloak by the 3rd, obviously it was done cause he wasn't going all out, it was evident from the way he fought and spoke to the Shinobi alliance + he had infinite chakra so he could easily use it indefinitely if he wanted. You're saying the 3rd gets "blitzed by Temari" but he's literally sitting there, telling them what he's about to do, how to beat him and doing everything in his power to lose yet they are still unable to stop him. Compared to the 4th who was going all out against Sasuke, we know cause he was consumed by revenge to the point he was willing to sacrifice his life and limbs to end Sasuke's so no way it wasn't full power. Even an average teen can do a lot of damage to Mike Tyson if he tells them where to punch and stays still so them being able to inflict some damage on the 3rd isn't a feat which proves his lightning cloak is weaker. Plus there are thousands of them trying to harm him, not just Temari. You said Naruto's Rasengan cracks the 3rd Raikage's forearm which is true, but it's relative to what Sasuke's chidori does to the 4th Raikage's chest (look at the bottom right panel at 9:25), thing is though 1. Rasengan is stronger (technically not but going off statements) 2. Naruto is waaay stronger than Sasuke was at the summit at this point in the story (before you say it's a clone, yeah but clones split the strength of the caster + he had 9 tails cloak and sage mode so the strength of that clone was at worst comparable to summit Sasuke) 3. Even though it's not wind style, Rasengan has basically the same effect which is a counter to the lightning cloak as was stated. This means a stronger jutsu, stronger person, and a counter is doing relative damage to the 3rd as was done to the 4th by Sasuke. It's absolutely clear the 3rd's cloak is more durable than the 4th's. Plus he was directly controlled by Kabuto who couldn't utilize his jutsu to its fullest potential and was slightly weaker due to Edo Tensei which never revives someone at their peak (even when perfected, Tobirama said it was "close" to their original power). The 3rd was stated to be the ONLY one to go against a tailed beast unarmored, unarmed and alone. Even if that statement was made from a biased point of view of a cloud shinobi, they would still say it knowing the 4th so Ay was never able to do that alone which only further shows he most likely would lose to Bee if it ever came down to a deathmatch. Plus Sasuke wasn't THAT much stronger fighting the 4th as he was when fighting Bee (due to not getting any major powerups) and Bee absolutely demolished him even before using the 8 tails so that's further proof Ay is simply weaker. The hell stab would definitely be more powerful than the Lariat as it's clearly stronger than both the Rasengan and Chidori (at the time) when comparing how much damage it was able to do to the 3rd when Naruto was only able to make a small scratch. In fact, if we talk about pure piercing power (not destructive power) it's far stronger than the Rasenshuriken likely due to how concentrated the chakra is (we can once again compare the damage between Rasenshuriken and the Hellstab which is actually perfect as all those jutsu hit the same person, yeah with the Rasenshuriken the damage isn't visible but destroying every cell would still incapacitate him for longer like the hellstab did if it did as much damage). With all that it mind, it would absolutely pierce a Susano ribcage. He might not be as fast as Ay but he's still one of the fastest as showcased by him keeping up against Cloaked Naruto. Without the cloak Naruto was either saved by others or in Sage Mode which increases sensory perception drastically helping with reflexes. Sage Mode Naruto would be able to react to the 4th Raikage as well. Besides it's not like the difference in speed was that outrageous. The way I would compare their speed is: Cloak Naruto > 3rd 4th Raikage (able to react but slower), Sage Naruto (able to react but slower) < 3rd/4th Raikage. 4th > 3rd (a bit slower but somewhere in between Sage Naruto and Cloak Naruto). So 3rd has slightly lower speed but higher defense and damage, much higher endurance plus greater feats in terms of statements. There is no world in which he loses to the 4th. It'd still be a high dif fight for him but he wins. Now is it enough to change the outcome of the battle against Sasuke? No, it'd likely turn out roughly the same. 4th would have killed Sasuke at the cost of his arm and leg and the 3rd would likely end up the same if Gaara didn't stop the fight. The only thing is, I don't think Rasa would be able to stop the hellstab as well as Gaara could stop the Raikage's kick so Sasuke would most likely die and the Raikage would only lose 1 arm rather than an arm and a leg.

Technically that's the case and was even stated that the Hokage are the "Best ninja of their time" literally at the start of the show and multiple times later but let's be real, if that was the case, 1. Kakashi shouldn't have become Hokage over Naruto especially without his sharingan 2. In the case of Kumogakure, Darui isn't stronger than Killer Bee (unless you want to argue that he is) so we clearly see there are exceptions in their cases as well 3. A Raikage isn't gonna get kicked out of office just cause someone became stronger than them. Even if we assume they would kick a Raikage out, Killer Bee didn't want to become Raikage just as Jiraiya didn't want to be Hokage so were they supposed to leave the position vacant until someone stronger than him came along? Taking these statements at face value would make 3rd Raikage's durability multiversal since in the databook Temari can "blow away an entire universe" and he tanked that. Now I'm not saying it's completely pointless to look at the databooks but that they can't be taken at face value when we see evident contradictions in the story.

Honestly, I feel like third Raikage dies. I don't remember if this happens in the manga, but in the anime Sasuke tries to hit the 4th with Amaterasu immediately. The 4th dodges it, which is a crazy speed feat. The 3rd relies more on durability than speed so he might try to tank it with the lightning cloak, which would be a HUGE mistake. But even if he does try to dodge, the 3rd isn't as fast as the 4th so I'm not even sure he could dodge it. If he can't, he gets an Amaterasu to the face in the very beginning of the fight and dies before he has a chance to attack. 😅 If he can dodge it, then the fight would play out exactly the same as the 4th's did.

I gotta say, for me Sasuke just dies at either Gengetsu or Mu. Instead of saying Mu scales to Gengetsu so he couldn't kill Sasuke in time, I'm gonna say, because Gengetsu scales to Mu he just beats Fatigued Sasuke. And I also think that he wouldn't really let the White Setzus heal Sasuke, but probably take them out with the steam imp first or just his Water Guns first. And well I wouldn't even be sure if Obito would intervene with Mu similarly to how he did against Ohnoki. Because he teleported him out of the Cube, but Mu might just shoot the Particles Style Cyclinder right through him. And also yeah, Tobirama will absolutely just destroy MS Sasuke, no questions Asked.

In a sense, Kage means shinobi head of a primary nation and gokage is all five kage together, that’s what the manga calls them. Enton is short for Enton Kagatsuchi or Flame Control which is Amaterasu just from Sasuke other eye that can mold and control the flames so Enton is just flames that could be controlled!

The 3rd raikage should be comparable to the 4th. I agree that he may not beat the 4th in a footrace but he should be of comparable enough speed to him. Probably somewhere btwn v1 and v2. This is as he was able to evade kcm1 naruto multiple times and he comments that he's fast like a raikage (considering he just faced the 4th not long b4 that). Plus im sorry but i don't think ay is stronger than b. Ive seen someone say that the translation from the data bk was that ay has the greatest taijutsu not that he was just the strongest. Even if it didn't say that explicitly, it wouldn't be the first time the show has contradicted the data bk. B has performed better in all comparable fights he and ay have had. He performed better against minato, he did better against base sharingan sasuke, and in his clash with ay he overpowered v1 ay in base. So unless you think ay's v2 buff is greater than an 8 tails buff. Plus we already know v1 b and v1 ay are comparable from them performing the double lariat together. Also the hell stab should get through the susasno more than ay bolt of pain. Sasuke's chidori pierced and drew blood from ay in v1 and sage naruto's rasengan nicked the 3rd (rasengan usually when it lands properly causes a spiral depression on the target not a few cracks). I'd argue the hell stab has comparable ap to the kcm1 rasenshuriken as it can penetrate the 3rds cloak. And i believe that would get thru sasuke's susano. Nonetheless i think the fight would play out similarly to how the fight with ay went with raasa intervening just as the 3rd launched in for a mutually assured death attack.

3rd is weird because after his fight with Gyuki he would take a more passive approach in fights which is uncharacteristic for his showings as a Edo. Tbh I don’t think the speed is much of a factor as during Sasuke’s fight against Ay he resorted to using defensive moves that forced the Raikage to rely on his AP instead of speed. Sasuke would probably end up having to completely flips his ways of interacting.

3rd raikage is not stronger than 4'th smh. The 4th was faster than kcm Naruto's og body pre clone army chakra split. Possibly as fast as kcm2 Naruto. Base KCM 1 Naruto is much faster than Sage mode Naruto. And A Sage mode Clone kept up with a like 80-90% power 3rd Raikage. Speed is a factor in force. So The 4th would be physically faster and stronger than the 3rd. And because of the degree of chakra needed to reach that speed. He's arguably more durable, too. Only thing the 3rd has is his spear. Which granted, could kill Sasuke. But Sasuke should be capable of keeping up with the 3rd and likely land an amaturasu.
