Tom platz, one of the all time greats, bodybuilding needs more people like him. Well spoken, well educated, well behaved, motivational, inspirational, his physique was phenomenal, but a physique alone doesn't cut it. His physique and posing/presentation spoke for itself, is was art, but it is also a huge plus if you can talk to the public, tom can bring over a message through his physique and through speaking/interaction/communication with the public. Not just posting motivational quotes on instagram, but true speech about life, lessons about life, the legend, the eagle, tom platz.

I don't know if Tom remembers me, but I used to meet with him and his mother for breakfast (she was his manager at the time)in the early 80s in Venice during the end of the Golden era of bodybuilding. I trained at Golds Gym and met him there. He would have been at his peak in those days and I watched him train legs. Amazing intensity. The man was so articulate and inspiring. My father was a photographer when I was a little kid I went with him to a photo shoot back in the early 80s. I was blown away at the guys and gals he was taking photos of. The guys were what I wanted to be and the women were knockout gorgeous. I looked over at the wall at the gym and there was a picture of Tom Platz on the beach doing his iconic arm flex with the legs flexed at the same time.. I couldn't believe how awesome he looked. It got me interested in lifting weights. I never went after being a bodybuilder but I lifted weights to help me with getting some motivation to change my life. It worked it got me out of my funk and im only feeling good after I lift. When I don't I get depressed. The world needs Tom Platz. The bodybuilding world needs him now more than ever. This was a great motivational seminar. Let me rephrase that. It was a more from the heart talking to people in inspiring something positive. Not a seminar at all. What a great human being Tom is thankyou for motivating me to the next level man.

This video was made about 5 years ago. It is a gem, as is many of Tom's video seminars. He has lived and survived a career in bodybuilding. He has achieve legendary status with those massive legs and powerful physique and has suffered professional and personal defeats. To listen to his story is inspiring and motivational. Bodybuilding gives you the skills needed in the business world. Your goal is to win Mr. O. You do that by planning your workouts, your meals, your posing, your complete presentation. In the business world you are given a task or goal and told to plan how to get there. There is also failure in bodybuilding, just as there is in business. But because you love bodybuilding you get up and do it all over again. In business you get up and do it all over again because that is your career that pays the bills. Sit down and take a listen to the Golden Eagle. There is something in his seminar that will speak directly to you, and you will be very grateful you took the time to listen.

This is so refreshing. I love this guy and his message. He's a man after my own heart. You can see the similarities in all the great, strong and successful men like Mr. Platz. They are all extremely ambitious and disciplined and possess great faith believing that they can do whatever they set their minds to. The belief that you can do whatever you set your mind to was pushed very strongly through the history of this country up until the last decade or so and it shows. Today's youth are being taught the victim mentality and that they are entitled to success and happiness and it's destroying them. We need more strong men like Tom spreading his message of hard work, dedication and faith! 🙏

He talks about that book in this other speech, around the 1h46m mark : kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXO6eZtuaZ2gZpI He says that it inspired his nickname, the “Golden Eagle” (he originally thought of “Golden Seagull” but it didn't sound right, then his father suggested “Eagle”). His analogies are weird sometimes, when he says that bodybuilding is like the mob because you can never get out, or that a positive attitude “spreads like cancer” (in the video linked above at 35m40s), or compares himself to Lady Gaga !...
