It's pathetic to watch all the saban haters now grovel and drool over him "possibly" coaching their team. Stop it. You look silly.
@johngolden446815 сағат бұрын
It's hard to never say never, but, I would really have a hard time believing that Saban would want to go back to rebuilding any team from the ground up to the highest level. Saban has paid his dues, dine it all and has a good tv gig that I am sure accomidates his every need. I also know that Coach Saban is a WV native and was a DC there in the late 70's. I guess we'll see but I wouldn't hold my breath.
@eerslink5498Күн бұрын
I don't see Nick ever coaching again at West Virginia. I do however, see him being directly involved in some advisory capacity with the program going forward. The Game Day gig is far too good to give up and just get right back into this era of CFB that he didn't enjoy. Another thing that many people overlook is that the man is 73 years old. I don't think he'd enjoy being on the field on a 20 degree night with a swirling -10 windchill. It's a nice dream but in the end, it's only that; a dream.
@nickbowling850610 сағат бұрын
He already has an "advisory" role at Bama. Has an office just down from debo. It pisses me off that all these haters of Saban are now wishing he would coach their teams. This is like the 10th different school this rumor has come about. STOP... That man didn't leave the dynasty he built just to start over.
@eerslink54989 сағат бұрын
@@nickbowling8506 Wow! You really told me buddy. lmao Do you have any idea how many different charities and advisory committee's Nick sits on? Here's a hint: It's far more than just his advisory role at Bama. I know that you probably missed it in all your blind rage, but my comment actually was dispelling the idea that Nick would go back to his home state's university as a coach but instead, has shown a willingness and even an eagerness to be involved back home (he's stated his loyalty to his home state and it's flagship university multiple times, not only in several interviews but also on ESPN's Game Day).
@nickbowling85067 сағат бұрын
@eerslink5498 Calm down Sally. I wasn't even attempting to "tell you, buddy." I'm just stating a simple fact about the question at hand. We can go into all the other stuff saban does another time. Don't get emotional. The fact you mention some of the irons he has in fires kinda proves my point. Why would he want to take on more when he's said he's happy to have the time for his family. Everybody hated the man until now that you think he can do something for you. It is really the only point I'm making, so there is no need to get your feelings all hurt.

Absolutely not Jimbo Fisher is a legend in West Virginia also we have multiple Legends that coach Nick saban is just the biggest and Baker would get a pass if Jimbo doesn't do well because the fan base wants Jimbo Fisher if we can't have Nick Saban. We do not want coach rod or a lower level coach brought up we want an older proven coach that's from West Virginia preferably. Jimbo and Nick is the only two that Baker can say I gave you what you wanted so don't get mad at me. If he hires someone else and it doesn't work out with those two available especially with Jimbo wanting the job supposedly then baker will definitely be fired.

I just wonder how many here will be 74 next year? Trust me, that's a huge factor in his stepping down and fact that he isn't stepping up again. People who are old gave things WRONG with them that they dont talk about; having to pee, not sleeping very well, quick to fatigue, being an orthopedic risk anywhere near a field full of large people running around, memory issues, traveling on planes through airports. Most of these things won't occur to people on this forum but believe me, no matter how rich or experienced you are, it matters to us; it has to, sadly.

I don't have a problem with them getting part of the money that they make the university but I believe they should have to sit a year after they transfer. Right now, as ohio state as proven, its simply a bidding war for players. At the age range these kids are, you make a lot of rash decisions based on how you feel at the time. At least I personally did. and lord knows the kids are getting dumber and more emotional as the years pass.
