Repressurising a Hikoki Metabo HPT nail gun that is not sinking nails.

Gasless nails can loose the compressed gas over time. leading to less force when shooting nails and not being able to sink nails.
These hikoki guns can be recharged with compressed air to keep them firing at maximum power.

Mine won’t sink a nail in white oak. I repressurized it and it still won’t work. Brand new! lol

I know paslode nailers use a cartridge... Does this midel need recharged with the air compressor relatively often instead of the cartridge??

Not often maybe once or twice during the life of the gun. But it depends, some never need regased some do.

I have that pressure gauge thing but how do you know that you aren’t putting too much air in? I haven’t had to use it yet. I just purchased the 18 g version.

its a pressure regulator, it only lets out a set pressure. once in service mode with the pin sticking out, this fills the chamber to a set pressure.

if you hit something you aren't supposed to like concrete there's a chance it'll leak a little bit, over time it adds up. Or if you use them in extreme cold.
