@classicmicroscopy9498.she did say he was too small when he was rescued to go to the Center. Unfortunately, some wild babies imprint very early on humans. Once that happens, they can never be returned to the wild. I’ve seen this happen at my job.

@classicmicroscopy9498. it was not meant as a challenge. My apologies for coming across that way. I work at my local nature center where we have an extensive animal rehab department. We have reintroduced injured animals to their native habitat after they’re healed. Sadly, not all returns were successful. I agree that wild animals should never be kept as pets. They have a purpose and function in their native habitat and ecosystem. I reserve my opinion on imprinted animals used for educational purposes. I’m not ambivalent, just undecided.

I don't believe in unnecessary human interaction with wild animals either, but what is done, is done. The woman rescued the beaver, believing it to be abandoned. It IS a cute video, and really shows how ingrained some animal behaviors are. Seeing how he "improvised" his dam building materials without having had any guidance from his beaver family was very interesting. And, even though he can't be released back into the wild, at least I know of one beaver who won't lose his home to developers destroying his habitat or, God forbid, being killed by your car as you race someplace to spread your dark cloud of cynicism, pessimism, and just all around nasty, negative attitude. I hope that whatever is souring your mood today is just temporary, and that you feel better soon! 🤗

He had TONS of friends, it was a wildlife rescue that has many many residents. But the guys that built the pond for him did it for free so he just got a very fancy home they wanted to show how much he loved it. That's why the video just showcasing him. He also seemed to really like kids and would get lots of love when the wildlife center does classes.

That poor baby crying when she gave him heck for chewing her chair leg about broke my heart. He’s soooo cute!!! The coolest thing I ever saw was at a dam next to a man made pond. I was just hanging out fishing and noticed some splashing near the dam. Then some adults came onto the dam and were working on it. The adults were bringing back logs for their dam. Then I noticed one only bring a log back half way and was confused. Til I saw what happened next. Turns out the splashing was the babies and one of the parents brought one of those babies out to help push the log back to the dam, teaching it what to do. Cutest darn thing I ever ever seen in the wild yet

Oh he's definitely a heart taker! JB is so cute! I'm glad he has a place that he can be free to his will at and be happy and safe and ok! That's one of our biggest fears of losing a pet besides them dying is not being able to provide the necessary care for them and give them a good life that they deserve. So I am really happy he has a place to be! ❤ He's definitely a sweetheart!
