I’ve wondered for years if that was in the script or was it improv. After it happens you see White keep his eye on Pink though the mirror. You’re the only other person who noticed that, whenever I bring it up I get the same reaction as the other guy in this thread

@@michaelblaine6494It's quite hard to say what is improvised and what wasn't since a lot of the details changed from the script to the movie. Like in the script, it's Mr. White who doesn't tip and it's Mr. Pink who rambles about Madonna. I suppose only Tarantino and the rest of the cast and crew can tell us what was truly improvised and what Tarantino decided to change that particular day. Like the dance scene.

It’s indicative of Pink’s ideology imo. There’s the cops, who enforce the system, the criminals who exist to defy the system, and the “real people” who are mixed somewhere in between.

As wrong as it is, there is a very big difference between the psychology of someone who will kill if necessary but derives no pleasure from it, as opposed to someone like Mr Blonde who actually enjoys hurting people for the sake of hurting them. And the former is someone you have much better odds of surviving an encounter with as long as you don't do anything dumb like play the hero.

You can see here that Pink looks up to Blonde in some way. He realizes that Blonde is an old man in a young man's game and there's a reason he's been around all this time which leads to him telling Blonde about the diamonds. However we can also clearly see that age has softened him up and affected his decision making. He might also have a wife and kids which will have profound affects on his moral compass. I think if he had been in his 20s or 30s Blonde would've just left Orange to die and got the diamonds with Pink.

This is a weird scene, and it always kinda bothered me. I'm pretty sure they screwed this up somehow, because it sounds like they're both playing the other's character, like as if Keitel is Pink and Buscemi is White, at least for the first part of the scene. For example: Keitel says he was considering taking Blonde out, and then later in the movie, that line is attributed to Pink.

1:40 I would have to assume that the girl that Mr. White was talking about was most likely an employee at the place they were robbing and I think out of sheer panic, she set off the alarm before Mr. Blonde turned her to swiss cheese. Or maybe she was one of the customers and ran for the alarm before the same result happened. Also when Mr. White said that Mr. Orange took a bullet and said that he's no rat, I get that Mr. White cares about Mr. Orange. But taking a gut shot shouldn't mean anything since, as Mr. Pink said, there was a rat. They shouldn't rule out any possibilities, because as far as anyone was concerned, all the robbers had to have been suspects of being a rat.
